  1. Have fun finding Duane, he jumped ship and left everyone in the dark. Contact Leeroy at Reform Cycling, he's based in Hillcrest and does a great in-depth job.
  2. +1 on this.
  3. Time to try give the dropper thing a go...
  4. Fits on to an XD Freehub. Same as GX, X01, XX1
  5. Couldn't have asked for better weather!
  6. It’s a Bike Yoke Shifty, can be put on pretty much any SRAM derailleur.
  7. Finally took the plunge and put a 36 on. Also got this nifty little thing, makes shifting SO much better.
  8. Just my view on it... Just saying I wish we had bigger sponsors like SRAM etc. like the WP events do and align the name of the events with the category of racing. I love the events and XCO style of racing and always try encourage more people to join in to grow it.
  9. New bib just in time for Sani and some pedals for a mate. Got them for a steal from Reform Cycling. Also have a few other goodies on order.
  10. Have the same thing with me on chrome too.
  11. Well done to WC MTB Wish we had this caliber of events in KZN with sponsors and it actually being called XCO
  12. But 25km of that is basically downhill doing the Umko Drop... Iconic can be ridden, it gets fairly steep in some sections and is quite technical. The biggest problem is people in front of you either stopped or walking up that get in the way if you attempting to ride it. Just be prepared to suffer properly for longer than 20 minutes.
  13. There have been some small changes to the route but here are my strava files for 2018. Excuse the slow pace, my partner was slow Day 1: https://www.strava.com/activities/1559930842 Day 2: https://www.strava.com/activities/1562004162 Day 3: https://www.strava.com/activities/1564034104
  14. True... My brain is obviously asleep! What cranks do you have? What frame do you have and what are you getting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. There won’t be a problem at all.
  16. Run both those tyres. Sidewalls on both are exo. I find the aspen better suited as a front, the transition from the center knobs to the cornering knobs are nice and predictable and they hold up well.
  17. This will work perfectly. OEM just means it was a take-off off a new complete bike. Not sure if this effects warranty but I'm sure the bike shop would be able to answer that. Also look at the Rapide cranks or Lyne, they fairly cheap and work well.
  18. Weighing at just over 70kg and in the sharper end of the field, I think I can get away with it... This is for XCO/XCM though. Probably going to miss the grip a little when training in Giba though...
  19. Just swapped out my Barzo (f) and Mezcal ® for some Maxxis Aspen (f) and Rekon Race ®. For a faster and lighter combo, rode a small section of single track this morning and they handled perfectly.
  20. Definitely still safe for two of you. Try the Red/Pink route or even the yellow. There's a map and the trail centre will be able to assist as well.
  21. Probably a leak in your tubeless tape. Take it back to them and let them sort it out.
  22. That will always happen on a coloured chain as the inner plates rub against the cassette when changing up gears. Edit: spelling.
  23. Look on Bikebay.co.za that's where I found it. 1L was R300. 5L - R999.
  24. Hi David Tried adding in intervals as it did't pick them up and wouldn't work so then held down ctrl (I think) and it added a whole bunch but now it won't let me reset. This is the error that pops up on the top of the screen when i try reset. org.springframework.web.method.annotation.MethodArgumentTypeMismatchException: Failed to convert value of type 'java.lang.String' to required type 'int'; nested exception is java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "2147778150"
  25. Anything in Durban planned in the near future?
