Flat mount brakes are the devil on XC bikes, not too sure we should be happy about this...

Not a better idea to try and sell the parts off and frame separately to recoup more of the costs? Some awesome parts there that should move fairly quickly to the right buyer...

All the slowing down to stop, non-pedaling will bring the average down quite a bit.

All consumer direct tyres should be Yellow. Only tyres that come on OEM bikes will be white.

Running Kenda Booster Pro SCT front and rear and absolutely loving it. Just take the plunge and thank me later.

Had the booster pro non-SCT on for about a month, was quite surprised with the grip of them compared to the likes of Rekon Race, Aspen, Ikon. Put the SCT on now for race season.

Race day: 3 hours before start some cocoa rolled oats and banana, hydrate drink and an espresso. Sip on a carb drink an hour before. 5 min before start, gel.

IMTG. Most coaches give these rides often in a block. Riding in a fasted state should be in zone 2 to gain maximum effects. Can get away for around 4 hours in a fasted state.

Wrong thread... Put on some Kenda Booster 2.2’s recently and was well impressed with the grip compared to other XC tyres.

Get an XX1 gold and thank me later. You’ll get even better mileage.

Dutch CX champ yet again.

Got over sticking a pod in a machine and decided to take the plunge and bought a ‘proper’ machine. Here comes lots of learning.

Coming from a pod machine so I think there’s a lot of learning that’s about to happen.

Got a set of the Podium bibs and Podium jersey. Both excellent quality and nice race fit. Bibs - the bib has a nice gripper and I didn't experience any riding of the legs. Chamois was solid and comparable to other top brands in the price range and above. Had to get a size small due to my waist size which meant that the straps are a little tight due to my height but nothing too serious. Would highly recommend these if you looking for a decent set of bibs. The price is fairly high but you get what you pay for in terms of kit. Jersey - This is a solid race fit. 3 pockets on the back with a zip compartment. Found the side pockets a little tight but rather tight than too loose. The jersey has nice breathable side panels which made riding in 30 degree humidity bearable. Sleeves are a decent length and the plain colour is a nice addition to the wardrobe. Would be nice to see a black version too because BOBOB. Look forward to the addition of more colourways to get my hands on. Cheers First Ascent!
