  1. 1. Make sure they are fitted properly with sufficient grease on cup and frame, wipe excess grease after to avoid contamination. 2. Keep your bike clean without aggressive cleaners, especially near bearings. 3. Take out the crank and wipe excess dirt every so often and regressed spindle.
  2. I have two PF30 BB30 frames. Both BB’s are roughly 2 years old and still running perfectly smooth with no creaks. Like most things, if they are looked after, they will last.
  3. This is the one without the chainbreaker.
  4. Call your LBS and ask them to order for you.
  5. Ya, but no. I would rather travel to Durban or Umhlanga for a proper fit, seen some horrendous fitments coming out of the above mentioned place. Durban - Solomon Cycles have a guy that does an Ergofit fitment. Umhlanga - Leigh’s does the Retul fitment. It is worth the drive.
  6. Yes. Sorry, brain had a misfire. Groove Tool Pro with chain breaker is in stock with Omnico.
  7. Groove Tool is in stock so your LBS will now be able to order.
  8. Stages have launched the new M200 & L200, they are in SA but waiting ICASA certification. I currently have a test unit. Big improvements in the mounting system (1/4 turn), user interface, buttons, screen and there is also a new stages app. Just make sure you are using that if you are trying to update M50. DCrainmaker posted some pretty favourable reviews on it.
  9. If you just push down harder with the plugging tool, it will easily pierce the tyre.
  10. You won’t find a reamer with a slug plug or any of the Ryder Innovation tools. Not quite sure what you need a reamer for? I’ve never used one and plugged many tubeless holes, successfully. If anything, just use a bigger plug or more plugs. Bicycle tires are fairly soft and conform easily, unlike car tyres where reamers are used.
  11. I know… I know… I don’t plan on being in this house in 5 years time so don’t want to invest in a system that I won’t get a return on. We run mostly on gas and I have a portable power box for other devices. Also want to get something that can be transported easily for camping.
  12. Have my birthday coming up and wanting to get a Moka pot and hand grinder for when there is no power and the Rocket is off duty… Will be just me and possibly one more having coffee, so doesn’t need to have large capacity. Are there any brands that I should stay clear of or are they all pretty much equal? Is a Moka the way to go or should I rather look at an aeropress? Will be drunk as an espresso/black as plant based milks don’t mix too great without some heat to them.
  13. Entry level market is dead. Middle & upper market - still big supply issues. I would say the boom has Stabilised. When supply in the middle & upper market has normalised, we will see how many of the boomers have been retained.
  14. Will be available at your LBS in the next +-4 weeks.
  15. Must remember that hydration bags carry a duty when imported, so to compare to local pricing isn't too fair.
  16. It is a Deore level derailleur and shifter on that bike. air fork is decent, obviously not at a big brand level but does its job. Also has a remote lockout which is nice. Bikes come with a 28mm internal rim too which means a little lower pressures and more comfort. Bang for buck, you can’t beat them.
  17. Chat to your LBS. If they have an Omnico account, they can order for you. The product is good and pretty easy to apply, with some patience. I’m about to get a frame warrantied that had a kit on and I’ve just ordered a second kit for the new frame when it arrives.
  18. I would opt for a MTB over a gravel bike, especially if it is wet...
  19. My Instagram is littered with Milwaukee products. Pity that they are so pricey here. Saw a bare hammer drill for R9,5k if I'm not mistaken and very little products out of the range available here.
  20. Ended up exploding my budget. Dewalt DCD796 impact hammer drill & Dewalt DCF887 impact driver. Just got 1x 5ah battery but will get a second smaller one once my bank account has recovered. Put up a vanity and built side tables today with them, don’t know how I lived without them.
  21. Thanks for this. Realised I missed out the part of adding I wanted it to be a hammer drill. Pretty keen on getting an impact driver as well though. Have a feeling I am going to end up stretching my budget. Have heard from a few that Bosch doesn’t seem to last. There are way too many options out there. Sounds like you are living in tool heaven with those prices.
  22. In the market for a new Impact drill. Still have a Bosch 14.4V which is getting tired. After some reading, brushless is the way to go. Would like to get a brand with a bit of a range that I can expand on with keeping one battery system. Budget around R3k. Have seen the Cat DX12 (R3,3k at Makro with 2x2a + bits), Bosch GSB18V - 50 (R2,6k at Makro with 2x2a) Ryobi XBID-18 (R1,5k bare). Anything else I should consider that will be within the budget? Trying to find reviews on these things is harder than finding new bicycles right now….
