  1. My new setup. Had a budget, almost pulled the trigger on a machine and the seller decided to sell it to his friend instead, so back to square one. Then this popped up, at a pretty good deal and couldn’t turn it down. Budget got blown out the window, but we don’t share that with the other half.
  2. Xoss G+ from your LBS, if they have an Omnico account. Allows you to sync HR & Cadence if you have those additional sensors.
  3. There were definitely more races in that time frame.
  4. If you only getting 10 wash cycles, you doing something wrong... Wash in a laundry bag/pillow case. Cold/low temp wash. I use a biodegradable/sensitive skin soap. Wash inside out and dry inside out. Dry in the shade, sun eats fabrics.
  5. Sun. When you ride, that is the main area where sun makes contact with your bibs.
  6. Call the Saddle & Shack co, I’m sure they will be able to advise. It’s a bike shop in Park Rynie. Or Bobby’s cycles in Port Shepstone.
  7. That looks like Mellow Velo in Broadacres.
  8. Seen this on a number of Ultegra disc bikes. Some bikes where only the rear is doing it and not the front.
  9. Carbon paste in a headset is a recipe for disaster???????? The granules are going to get in to the bearings, it’s a moving part, carbon paste shouldn’t be anywhere near it. I suggest finding a new LBS. Grease on the crown of the fork, grease all over the bottom bearing, little bit of grease on the frame where each bearing sits, grease on the top bearing, grease on the expansion thing, put the headset top cap on, stem on, everything tightened until no play and then torque the stem bolts to spec. Basically, grease everywhere. This should be cleaned and redone every few months (depends on conditions). If there is still a creak, it’s coming from somewhere else. Majority of new frames will come with bearings directly to carbon. My last 5 bikes have been this way.
  10. Just bought a house, so don’t think the transferring attorneys will be too stoked when I tell them there isn’t cash to pay them but I can pay them in good coffee, or maybe they will be ????
  11. Cool, seen the Lelit's, like the look of them. Just out of my budget including the grinder. After a HX or Dual boiler. Not too phased about that. Just can't be an eye-sore, otherwise I'm in the dog box. Have an Expobar on offer, at a decent price, just waiting to get all the details from the guy. Will check out Facebook too. Thanks. Been offered a Rancilio Rocky grinder for a decent price, are these good or should I rather save for a Eureka Specialta?
  12. Cyclesure through a broker.
  13. Giro’s older shoes do have a smaller last (fit). I have the same pair and get the same pain. I found putting in a proper innersole helped a lot, either the Bontrager or Spez ones. Giro has changed their last in the newer models to be a bit wider. Lake and Shimano offer wide fit shoes, I would go for either of those. I found Bontrager sizing to be a bit weird, but they do offer a 30 day money back if you not happy. Shoes are personal, make sure you comfy.
  14. If It’s a factory fault, they will replace them. If there is no stock, that is a different issue.
  15. Given myself an itch that needs to be scratched, looking to upgrade my machine. Currently have a Breville Barista express with built in grinder. So will need a grinder as well. It has been suggested to me to look at the Eureke Mignon grinder. Is there anything else I should look at? In terms of machine, I have found a used Expobar Brewtus, Used Isomac Tea and used Rancilio Classe 5 - are these any good or should I rather carry on saving and buy new? If anyone has a decent and aesthetically pleasing grinder or machine they wanting to get rid of, in my price range, please let me know. Budget is around R25k+- all in.
  16. These just landed in the country. https://www.gtbicycles.com/usa_en/sensor-comp-2975 Think there are M and L left. R42k retail. Carbon version will arrive soon at R52k retail.
  17. Bars aren’t going anywhere unless I get some proper integrated bars. Going tubeless should drop a few grams and also getting a Raceware out front mount will cut a few grams too. It is a 56cm though so the weight isn’t too bad for a disc bike.
  18. Give your bike a polish with some bike polish. That looks like your paint is being abused by whatever you washing your bike with. Dilute the bike wash more.
  19. Nothing beats new bike day. Do it. I would confirm that you can even get stock of said bike before you commit to selling yours, there are stock problems. AXS upgrade is attractive as at some point you would have had to replace your derailleur to work with the 10-52 cassette. Sram are no longer making the 10-50.
  20. Here’s some ‘better’ shots but still don’t do this bike justice. Built it up with Dura Ace Di2, besides the discs. SiSl2 crank and Spiderings + Si Stages. Came in at 7,3kg with cages, tubeless tape and a rather beefy out-front GPS mount. Just waiting for the 28c Kenda Valkyrie tubeless tyres to land and then they are going on here setup tubeless.
  21. Anyone tried the Deed sealant with tubeless on the road? Just waiting for the tyres I want to land, then I’m going to give it a go.
