  1. Have a look at the new Fabric Line S saddle, it’s a short nose saddle and super comfy. Comes in a carbon rail option if you after the lighter weight.
  2. From 2021, we are going to see more and more brands following suite. It’s a matter of time before all the big brands do not offer a rim brake bike, just like 26” disappeared; rim brakes will be next.
  3. A friend of mine has the same derailleur and a similar issue. Clutch seized and ended up loosening the cage bolt and he thought he had actually broken it. Mechanic pulled it all apart and put it back together, said that everything was quite rusted inside.
  4. What a pleasurable experience. Quick and painless, longest thing was waiting for the couriers to deliver the rim. Excess was 5% + 10% due to it being a wheel claim, still beats the cost of a new rim.
  5. I feel way more planted on it and don’t tend to move around as much on the saddle. Also a lot more comfortable and takes a bit of the road noise out too. They’ll be available from your LBS from next week. Pricing isn’t too bad on them either.
  6. New Fabric Line S saddle, I thought the Scoop was comfy but this takes it to a new level.
  7. Is there such thing as too many shoes? Giro Sector - nice new last which gives the shoe a wider fit and dual boa is always a win.
  8. About to put a claim through to Cyclesure for a cracked carbon rim, let's see how this turns out. Fingers crossed.
  9. The flex stays were tested by the crew of Rat Boy and thrashed hard with not one single breakage.
  10. Just over 11kg for the SE1. SID Ultimate 120mm Fork HollowGram Carbon wheels XT Groupset Cannondale Downlow Dropper 2.35 tyres Stock of the SE is only arriving later in the year.
  11. Fit the chainring straight onto the PM. If the bike was non-boost you’ll put a spacer in between the chainring and the PM.
  12. Flat mount brakes are the devil on XC bikes, not too sure we should be happy about this...
  13. Not a better idea to try and sell the parts off and frame separately to recoup more of the costs? Some awesome parts there that should move fairly quickly to the right buyer...
  14. Never had that problem, but I was on the carbon version. Pull apart, degrease, apply thing layers of grease and put back together. Avoid high pressure washers. Rode the bike for months like that and no issues.
  15. All the slowing down to stop, non-pedaling will bring the average down quite a bit.
  16. Checkout obike.co.za for some deals on the 2019 Cannondale Scalpel’s. You able to run 2 bottle cages in the frame, which is a bonus for marathons.
  17. This is a much better option. You know the quantities are right and it’s well priced too.
  18. My pride and joy, the race weapon. Mostly stock with a few personal preferences. Sits on the scale at 10,5kg, race ready. Recently joined the Scalpel world and the Lefty Ocho is something out of this world on a cross country bike. 22. Got a 20min FTP test tomorrow morning. Was hoping to ride Alp Du Zwift but looks like I need to be a higher level to get access. If anyone has access and is keen on a group ride up tomorrow, let me know what your username is and I’ll add you to join.
