  1. Snap. Makes me sea sick....
  2. But of course!! Love the characters, and most definitely the super watchable Cobie Smulders!!!
  3. Naah, disagree LWB. The sprint will now change into a higher speed mad dash to the bottom of the hill. The idiots will no skills will still be there. You need to have a power sprint,, where the speed is slowest. Methinks they need to change it to a 100-150m sprint, just after the last left turn into Jubilee.
  4. Sorry man!! Loadshedding Sat night made me pack my normal car. Just a tad easier in the dark. Then I also got a bit scared for a theft of the stuff I normally leave in the car. F100 has got NO security!! We'll get a chance in the future!!!
  5. Yeah. and very few riders calling them out. BL certainly had a fair number of irresponsible riders.
  6. Look out for the F100, I might be riding afterall.
  7. Badly timed flu!! So not riding on Sunday - have fun, hope there aren't ANY unfilled potholes. Hope there aren't any assholes. Keep it safe!!
  8. Well there goes my plan :-(
  9. Great :-) I'm up in JHB, do you have any contacts here?
  10. I think the Hubbers following this thread will be able to help... I have a beautiful Lynskey Ridgeline Ti frame - got if from a dear friend Obviously the typical brushed Ti look. The frame carries a large and deepish scratch on the headtube and a few minor blemishes to the finish on the rest. I'm not sure how to restore this. Not wanting to make things worse, I don't want to attempt "brush" the blemishes out. Using the wrong grit will ruin the frame. So I thought to change the look altogether. Is it possible to buff the entire frame to a more polished look? Looking fwd to a few suggestions. THANKS
  11. Am there very early, so at the Northern entrance just on the left :-) I think close to the team cars.
  12. CAPRI!!! I'm planning to drive to the R4S in the Ford, so be on the look-out!! Our home is kinda European Style. Steeper pitch roof with the beams exposed on the 1st floor - porthole windows up high for additional light and to break the monotone of all the brickwork. So we added those windows to the garage to get a more balanced look
  13. My '67 F100 Custom. Took the cost of a pretty lekker new bike to get it like this. Still some work to do, mostly under the bonnet. For the boffs out there...spot the (deliberate) error...
  14. My post from 2006 says 4700km..... UPDATE.....I still have the same pedals, same bike, and mileage is now at 71000km. Still going strong. I have the same model pedals on my racing bike, and a spare set in the cupboard. Spare set of cleats too. I wouldn't be changing soon, and will gladly buy another set if I can find them.
  15. Thx S&A, will drop you a pm if needed. One of my racing buddies might be able to collect!!
  16. Yeah, you can collect if you are an alphabet soup rider, but not if you ride in the licensed groups. Strange...
  17. I see I have to trek all the way from the East Rand to Pta North to collect my number on Sat morning. WTF!!!
  18. Snap - unnecessary change :-). Luckily a nice long transition...
  19. Nope. Raced it for a couple of years, but they keep moving the venue further and further away. Bekker School was the last straw for me. And despite me be ridden off at Hekpoort every year, it was "special" enough for me to return to the race. Now with Hekpoort less of a feature in the finale, I see no reason to ride Pity....
  20. I've supported this race for a number of years, even if I bleed like mad every year. Nice local, low key vibe. The wind was kinder this year, especially at the start, but I bled again, hard racing - those youngers!!! A pity that TRAPNET was on the same day. Will be back in 2020.
  21. Wha ha ha ha!! That is a real gem!
  22. Popit, see you are on the East Rand - it was in one of the ERM shops - good price about R21k
  23. I had one in my hand just a few weeks ago. NEARLY pulled the trigger. Beautiful!!!
  24. Agree, they have been around for ages. Remember Café de Colombia from the 80's. I was more referring to the comment that Saffas have difficultly to adapt to European conditions. It's likely the same for them.
  25. The same argument goes for Aus, NZ and of course Colombia. But for some reason they have a better sucess rate across all the disciplines than us. As we all know (like education) it starts off by attracting and nurturing talent from a young age - and to have the right standards in place.
