    Hey, you are reading my mind about the spoorstaaf and the Extreme Lights. The motor fitted actually comes from a F250 - 5 litre straight six. MASSSIVE torque!! And only 3 gears!! So a great canopener :-) BUT we do need to fix a few things first :-((

    I know this is a little different. Bought this '67 F100 this weekend in the Vrystaat. In a fairly good condition. Took me 5 hrs to get back to JHB. Now to start the restoration process.

    Funny how we can have 2 UCI MTB stage races, fully sponsored, but battle to get one road race going. Perhaps the road folk should look to change the format?

    What a race. Especially stage 4. Quality of the race was even better than 2012. Hats off to all in making it happen!!

    Interesting... Cycling at that level you say. Well after riding competitively in the '80's, and being a fun rider since, I returned to "competitive" cycling riding Vets during the last few races, and getting pretty decent results. Not a huge difference between AL bunch (fun riders) and VB to be honest. I'm old school, riding on Hammer/Water/Coke and banana's, so I am clean. I can assure you I don't weigh my lettuce nor my food. I eat a lot of choccies and drink lots of wine. And I don't check if my anti-histamine pills were contaminated with whatever when it was dispensed or packaged.

    Perhaps less climbing vs. earlier years, but this race was still tough!! Found the marshalling to be in line with other races - perhaps our bunch was just lucky? Happy with how my race went, will be back next year.

    There is a new Italian "kid on the block" in RSA. Great quality clothing at really great prices. I've bought 4 bibs from them, and they are certainly in the same class as Nalini, Santini, Giordana. Bicycle-Line clothing. Do a Google...there is a global and a local website
