    Rhodes Quality Half marathon, Wellington. Previously the Safari event. They have an interesting "extra", in that there is also a 21,1km Walk. With the predicted heavy rain on the day, and the rain over night many entrants did not start. 2466 runners and 73 walkers set off at 7.00. 30 seconds later it started raining .... But nothing would dampen the vibe. Just as quickly the rain stopped and we had absolutely perfect weather for the event. Each water point had a different theme. But they all had such enthusiastic GEES 👍 Few spots of rain, and then a visual spectacle .... What a memorable day to do my first half marathon 😁 53 weeks after my first 5km ....

    The winner of last years half-36one use two layers of tape. He swears by this to dampen vibrations. Sorry, not sure which brand.

    Surely the only "delay" is the time it takes for BHP to let the seller know the money has been payed. The actual delay is the seller having to wait days for the system to unfold before their money is paid out ... but this has zero bearing on the buyer. If anything, so much more urgency for the seller to ship the goods .....

    I have a friend that have done a couple. Even managed an age group podium in Mosselbay. Seeing the equipment over the years .... Sure some of the Ironman athletes will pop in soon enough to guide you ..

    This is the "fun" with stats like these ..... Swartbergpass SOUTH is technically correct. Yet so wrong .... 90% of that climb is in the first 5km, then the dip to the Hell turn, slight incline, and only then the last bit. That first 5km (measures from the first river crossing) is one brutal climb. And the way those erosion humps makes short sharp climbs .... Raak nou sommer weer LUS vir daai berg

    As much as I agree with you .... I do wonder how it works adding the BOA to a pair of tekkies .... I sure as heck may just go for this .... Any pictures of these would be nice.

    At one point we had to invert the saddle clamp to reduce the height by 20mm .... And the Maritz started GROWING .... now 13 years old and 1,74m 😵

    That is the nice thing with DC designers. You can have it custom made. I got one last year with an Afrikaans inscription.

    Okay thats is one way to look at it. OR ... You need a ASA license to enroll for the next marathon, either annual or day ..... might be a bit of schlep, but certainly possible to ban them ..... being sunny SA ..... we know nothing will happen .... if anything, now that people KNOW how to start earlier, expect MUCH more of this nonsense. They have ONE chance to stop it dead in its tracks.

    As time pass I find I am less worried about the "virtual ride". I want to get my ride in. I am leaning more towards watching Netflix Tour de France or similar.

    yes, 29" = 700 Now it is just a matter of the tyre width. Tyres are fully interchangable between these rims 700 is normally given with a mm width, while 29" is given with width in inches. 50mm = 2"
