  1. I am speechless..... Well, almost. Who is this bitter 'darkhorse' character? Come on say who you are because I would like to know what bitter husband/father/mother/little girl is behind this childish post. Come on share. Wow, Jenny has been a great supporter of SA races and deserve our support, not jealous snipes. She is good. Deal with it you neurotic little sht...
  2. I miss Wim Vansevenant... Who is going to take over the LR from him since he retired?
  3. Bert Grabsch. Wait 'til he hits the climbs...
  4. Great. Another Lace-o-phile. Amazing how the seem to burst out of the woodwork just as the old man catches a lucky draught! Like maggots out of an stinking carcass. In the nicest possible way of course
  5. He does a bit, but apparently Hincapie's Spanish is crap...
  6. The problem was that the chase group was actually too big! Every team threw someone at it, but it was chaotic and disjointed and the riders complained that they couldn't find a rhythm. The only guys who bridged were five(!) guys from rookie team Skil-Shimano who jumped right after the split and worked as a team. They know wind, they're a Dutch team where you quickly learn to deal with the wind!
  7. I know hindsight is 20/20, but PVR is 20/20 in High Definition! If you have yesterday's stage recorded go and have a look at the 20 minutes BEFORE the split. Very interesting. Cancellara made a dash to the front about 5 minutes before the split and the commentators (over here) mockingly wondered what he was doing shooting to the front. The next thing Armstrong gets chaperoned to the front by Popo and the other one (Zubeldia?) to be close to the action. No Contador, no he has his own guy on the other side! They are clearly riding as two teams. Saying that though, it was amateur of Contador and the others to be caught out like that. Armstrong knew what was going to happen, just like everyone else (Cancellara was told by his team to move forward like the rest of his team, but he listened!) It was an awesome stage to watch. That's the way cycling should be. Unpredictable.
  8. Me too. Which would have him needing an FTP of 500W to win the Tour
  9. *SIGH* I love coffee.... Hope I'm going to see those girls in Annecy. You lucky bstard Swiss!!!
  10. Sounds like a good reason to get into a breakaway (or at least try!) during the first week. I would love to campare it to yesterday's stats of Clement (or one of the other breakaway riders)
  11. Come on, that's a very easy day. 230W average? That's not even proper tempo riding!!!
  12. Indeed. Have you ever seen these amazing pics?! (Thought I'd save you the effort...)
  13. Jens has five kids. That's good enough for me. A nice quote from the interweb: Jens Voigt once challenged Lance Armstrong to a ?who has more testicles? contest. Jens won? by five.Willehond2009-07-02 01:45:26
  14. You will pay 40% if it's clothing only. If customs find/suspect cloting you will pay 40% on the shipment. Painful experience speaking. Plus I think CRC states on their delivery page that they wil NOT misrepresent contents in shipping bill and that you should not even ask them!
  15. Chairlift - Bruised. Man, that's a catchy song. Stuck in my head all day. Like OMD/Eurasure with Nina Hagen or Bjork on vocals. Feels like it is an Eighties song you know....
  16. Cause I can??? No, because it's so close to home I quickly went back and picked up the little camera. You want to see more or are you just stirring again?
  17. Cav is about as humble as LA' date=' give or take I've seen Norman Lester take BOTH hands off the bars in the sprint in a devil race and make an opening, hell I've done it if some tw@ is shutting me down. Fact of the matter is that Bos' hands should have been on the bars, so he should be punished for that regardless. Daryl is healing and will be back winning. You all should build a bridge..... [/quote'] I think we've discussed this to death, but yes, Bos did a trackie thing in taking his hands off the bars to brake. Remember he is a novice roadie! The way I see it, the UCI will give him a 6 month ban some time in September. Just in time for a nice long winter break?
  18. Bos has been winning the one race after the other (after the incident). Personally I would like to see Bos in the pro squad as soon as possible. The only threat to Cav as far as I can see and a much humbler man too. Sprinters are funny. Deal with it. (PS. I also wouldlove to see Daryl riding for a Pro Tour team next year...)
  19. My first thought too!
  20. I can't wait to see him back. He brings a lot of attitude to the sport and is fun to watch. Plus, if he's stupid enough to get caught again he's gone for good. I say bring on the clown!
  21. I am amazed, I never thought the day would come that WIllie's shop would close! I honestly feel for Wille and especially John. He's always been great at helping and with excellent kowlegde as well as a great guy to race against in the league. This will eave a HUGE hole in the market. I used to love going to CWC and Willie's in one trip and enjoy both places a lot. A sad, sad day. Good luck guys!!! Keep us updated as to what's happening. Very, very tough days...
