  4. This is the 9.95kg Stereo 650b 160mm travel. Also the 9.9kg Stereo 29er 140mm travel on the right.
  5. Sorry, I have no idea what the Scott goes for. The CUBE will be around R40k. Will post a pic of the 9.95kg option. Although it comes with a bigger price tag.
  6. This is what I have on order. Can't wait. CUBE Stereo HPC Race 650b with 160mm travel.
  7. It is a pleasure CAAD4 Was a fun evening out. Thanks to the organisers and everyone involved. Just hope Laulil's ribs are OK.
  8. If you want carbon, Syntace is the product I would suggest. (I am VERY biased though) CUBE, Specialised, Cannondale all use their products. (Although not always branded as Syntace) http://syntace.com/index.cfm?pid=1&pk=1405
  9. Just be careful, in food process plants, that stuff is treated as highly explosive.
  10. I won't be riding this evening, although I am sure most of you will not let a monsoon get in the way of your training.
  11. Ok, I will be riding from Fratellis at 5pm tomorrow (Thursday). All welcome. If you have a light, I would suggest bringing it along. It starts to get a bit dark towards the end of the ride. Then will have a pizza and beer afterwards.
  12. I am keen on Thurday evenings, leaving Fratellis at 5pm. Ride for just over an hour.
  13. It is about that time of year again!!

  18. I can't believe you all doing a ride on my doorstep and I need to go do a demo at Bester Cycles. Next time I will make a plan to join.
  19. Cameron Van Der Burg must be exhausted. Every time I turn on the TV, I see him swimming.
  20. Good luck to everyone doing this race. See you there tomorrow morning.
  21. Also, if you have disk breaks, don't rule out the option of the disk on the break when there is a little pressure. You should be able to hear if the noise is from the brake, cats eye or hub though.
  22. I have done a conversion just with a 26" tube, stans and a knife. Worked 100%. Only problem I have, is if you take the tire off, for whatever reason, you will need a new 26" tube, as you will never get the old one lined up correctly again. So good to know if you in a pickle, but would not suggest it as a first choice. As stated above. 1 layer of electrical tape, 1 layer of stans tape and a tubless valve is what I would suggst as the most economical and reliable solution.
  23. If I am that side of town I might latch onto your group too. (That is if you don't mind)
  24. Well done Mojoman I had my bike lights in the Car the other day. On the way home from gym it was dark and their was a commuter that everyone almost hit as he had no lights and it is a dark, narrow road. I pulled over and gave him my LED light. They guy was so happy. Got me thinking (which is something I don't do often) that if we, the cycling community, could each just hand out a reflector or cheap light to a commuter we see. It is a small gesture but it could save a persons life. Maybe we should do a "Hub Safety drive" now in winter while it is still dark in the mornings and evenings.
