  1. Will it ever be enough....? I'm up to about 2200km YTD and spending roughly 8hrs a week on the bike at the moment, with a couple of strength and core sessions a week thrown in. Will hopefully be able to improve on my 28 hour of last year....as long as my wonky knees behave I would like to finish in 24. Forgot to add, not much climbing in my riding, which will surely bite me in the butt.
  2. That would be true if the race actually started on top of Sani Pass...Nope, any car is fine. Agree with Escapee, no need for the mech package in my opinion, make sure your bike is in good working order. Yip, sure they will sell you parts, you might have to wait in line for a service etc but you will be able to of needed.
  3. Confirmed on Velonews - Porte and Rolland also changing schedules: https://www.velonews.com/2019/03/news/setbacks-injuries-force-valverde-porte-rolland-to-reshuffle-schedules_486590
  4. Edit: Double post - hub acting up again?
  5. I think most of us on here share your sentiments regarding Sagan...but was referring to the current World Champ. I think it might have been on my Supersport app, will try and find another link. He is battling with illness if I remember correctly and will be out until after San Remo. But I will try and confirm.
  6. I read somewhere that the World Champ is out, until after San Remo.
  7. You still riding 360ne? Awesome base to have!
  8. Ek kan my net indink. Sorry guys I'm busy derailing an awesome thread, will take it elsewhere.
  9. It looks like conditions were terrible judging by the results alone. Looks like more than 50% on entrants on the 'full' had a DNF. Well done for giving it a go.
  10. My garmin registered 2 degrees through the night last year with a high touching 40 during the day... I battled with knee pain from early on and reckon it was partly due to the cold. Focus this year will be to try and keep them warm from the start....and try and finish in daylight.

    Cricket......

Yip will be interesting to see what team we field with Markram and Amla under an injury cloud and Faf suspended, also De Bruyn is really struggling.
  12. Happy Birthday Holy Roller!
  13. I used a 34 last year, it was fine for everything, did not walk anything due to steepness, only walked due to 'legs-and-knees-moertoe' issues after Volmoed. Changed to a 32 for Sani2C and the steeper stuff there and left it on for Trans etc, think I will just leave the 32 on as I don't feel like I am running out of gears.
  14. You are looking at roughly 17km from the start/finish to CP2 at Volmoed
  15. Yip, watched most of the show, was also looking forward to his 'set' the most but did not expect too much, he didn't really 'fit' in the line-up in my opinion and probably was the least known to the crowd who turned up, mostly to see Casper Nyovest(spelling) and Beyonce and Jay-Z it seems. Enjoyed his vocal and set though.
  16. Can it be it is because you didn't buy her one
  17. I'm excited to see what Ramses can do...
  18. Saw a picture of him the other day, did not have any context. All good.
  19. My apologies. Did not know, will delete my comment.
  20. I think you should change your handle to 'Pure Savage Dead Thread Resurrector' and trademark it
  21. I'm still undecided, now that 36one is back to May I'm leaning towards going though.
  22. I also have the old version with no issues, also in L. Have been going strong for about 8 years now.
