  1. Mine also fine now. First time I had an issue. My strava, via the garmin App also showing.
  2. Will do mine again next week, Have been riding and training OKish for a few weeks so will see then how the numbers are affected.
  3. Plus CSA membership = R130 I think Plus Dischem ride for Sight @100% = R310 Think it was worth it for me. My previous club membership @ R600 . Get nothing back.
  4. I cycled 12 km to the race and back giving me a nice 94 km on the MTB. Was my first Marathon so was definitely tired after that. But it did not take me 50 minutes between finishing and getting home. Will have to drive to #3 though , then it is 30 km, will not make that.
  5. Was my First Marathon and it went Ok, My arms were dead tired after 50 km's though so my motivation was not much going through Rosemary Hill. Not sure if this is due to wrong bike set up as my legs were OK but as my arms were gone I was in survival mode from the time we entered Rosemary. Maybe tires still a bit hard due to my Road background. Will try the next one as well to see if it goes better, otherwise I will stick to the Half Marathons and Road races.
  6. Have made all my rewards since inception. Will send you a pm. Must warn that I do not have Garmin, Polar, Suunto etc.
  7. Their site not always updated 100% . The did post the distance as 71.08 km on twitter. The same as the route that can be viewed on the site for the marathon with 580 m gain. The route is different from what was displayed a week or two ago when the highest point was only reashed at around 50 km.
  8. My first Marathon. In D batch, what time will the D batchers look for. Was hoping for around three hours but looked at last years results and see that only very few have three hours or less.
  9. I am recording. Not submitting to Vitality, just achieves enough points hence I have been on 500 for three weeks, 600 four weeks and my third week on 700. I assume within a week or two I will start submitting some of my training sessions, will only open the gates when target is 1100 or mor more.
  10. Luckily I am still on 700 points.(Have achieved my goal every week). Will start being interesting when it gets to more than 700 , currently do not log my rides, only use Gym swipes for the Wattbike and step counting to reach my 700. My third week on 700 so will see where it goes next week.
  11. Up to 700 to, Mine went like this 300 400 500 500 500 600 600 600 600 700 Wonder howl long it will stay here, Since I had 1200 points in first week and 900 in second I have been trying not to exceed the goal. Any one with a higher goal already?
  12. I have tested mine, do not wear it very tight , it is always within one or two beats of my Wahoo Tikr Heart rate monitor and the average after an hour or longer I have not had the heart rate differ with more than 1. So I have not had any issues with the watch. Have not used it much for training though.
  13. The Calendar is maybe not the best but have received R380 back on entry fees so far for the year, did the Emperors Palace Classic(R300) for free, got a shirt and CSA licence fees so no complaining from me, would always be nice to get more though, The other club I joined has the same annual fee, I need to pay for my club shirt, I need to pay my own licence , but we have a vehicle as support for clubrides. so you have to way up the pros and cons and make your decision.
  14. Not from my understanding. I joined last December for this year , and January it was terminated. Had to explain I joined for 2016 and that my intention was not 2015 when I registered in December 2015.
  15. Ok, But still they do not except the results from Championchip that does most marathons as far as I know.
  16. Must say I got the Watch and although I understand that some people are having issues with achieving the targets , I have met all my goals so far without having used a garmin, Polar etc. I also have used the watch for the first time on Friday as I needed 300 points. This week I probably will not need to use the watch, so for me if you have a Iwatch I can not see how it can be a problem until the target reaches around 1000 points. An issue I have is that they do not use Championchip, or SSTiming results. Championchip does the Comrades so did all the finishers get 100 points yesterday?
  17. Flip, That is good you must be riding elite level then as this elite level figures for South Africa. You may not win that many , as the races tend to end in sprints here but good figures.
  18. Hopefully we not in same bunch on a hilly course, My Wattage the same but weight is more. need to improve this winter for the coming spring and summer events.
  19. Dis the Magalies Monster 40 km this weekend, Average heart rate for the 2hours 20 minutes (including 5 minutes in the starting pen as I started Strava before the time) is 90% Heart rate hit a maximum of 98% somewhere on the course. Because I am relatively fit I was fine within 10 minutes of completing the event, did not even die or anything.
  20. Well organised event and had a lot of fun but some of the sections with graspolle not fun. Also almost took out people on two occasions where we were going in different directions . Although I screamed ahead to keep left to the people coming my way had a couple of near misses and had to leave the trial on three occasions while flying downhill. They should at least warn the people of this . Otherwise enjoyed myself and went a bit faster than last year
  21. Will see wanted to do the 70Km this year but did not train much MTB , My last MTB race was the Monster last year so only entered the 35km ifthere was a 50 I would probably have done it but 75 just to far I think. Will enjoy the day in the FNB tent though.
  22. I read that they have included a new more challenging climb that is more technical. So will have to see how that goes. http://endurohub.co.za/fnb-magalies-monster-mtb-classic-introduces-new-monster-climb/
  23. Will be there. Actually saw yesterday, I am in the event Banner Add they are using to promote the race. So can not miss my own race.
  24. Have more than 2 members , sitting on 105 000 points. Achieved 90 000 around February. Have been Diamond for many years.
  25. Well I only moved up to 600 this week. Was hitting 3000 plus before April but have not uploaded my workouts so far , and stayed on 500 for three weeks. However I did make 1200 in week 1 vs goal of 300 and 900 in week 2 vs goal of 400 . Since then I have been better at achieving just enough. Although I do not think it would be an issue if I get to 1200 again. The only issue might be hitting it consistently. Was also informed they do not get results from Championchip
