  1. I See Jacques Jansen van Rensburg from DiData tweeted his Over Under program this week. 5 Min 350 Watt 5 Min 290 Watt times three, ten minutes rest and go again. After 5 minutes of 350 Watts I will definitely not go again , that is for sure. However will try to do this once a week at a bit lower wattage from now on.
  2. Functional Threshold Power, or FTP, is one of the key training terms in cycling and is effectively the maximum power you can sustain for an hour. As a result, FTP is seen as a crucial figure in determining your all-round ability on the bike, and is a number top riders swear by.
  3. Was also thinking about this. However on Diamond it is 6cents per Rand from the P&P,Woolies, Total Sports, Sportsmans warehouse, Clkicks & Dischem. You also get cash back that is spate from the miles. It has decreased in 2015 so I am also thinking about looking around
  4. Thanks, so hopefully coming soon. Glad I am not having as much issues as other people, only having the strava linked but achieving all my goals weekly. Just want to have a look at if goal is capped at 1200 still this year then I can order my watch as well. Waiting to get my new I phone 6 though.
  5. Hi, Anyone received their CSA membership for Team Vitality yet? Doing first race next week, probably they will not be to strict this early in the year. but you never know.
  6. Think so, I only use Strava APP on phone and get all the points. Not for Manual.
  7. I have just joined the Team Vitality team for 2016(hopefully) I would say if you work the system well it is beneficial, I get Around R1000 back in Fuel every month, have Free gym membership at the gym, Get around R600 worth of Discovery Miles, Get around r250 on healthy food and some more on healthy gear and health items at Clicks and Dischem. The thing is to get to Diamond status and keep it there. current club is R500 fee in any case and I do not loose even if I do not get cash back on events therefore, however I know I will get some cash back.
  8. Did not think it was that long ago, but last time I entered this race in 2012 I did the 94 km. Race went well until the last twenty or so of us in the AL bunch got to final 5-10 km , we could not attack, sprint or ride at stages due to traffic officers stopping cars to get in and out of venue. If we get some good reviews after the race I will be there next year.
  9. Also hoping the (South) African aspect not lost. How will they send team to Tour De France with 7 African riders now. But Excited for the team. Just Hope Jaco, Johan and some other Saffas not lost
  10. Jip Well done, and sought after already, a bit sad to see him going to Merida.
  11. Team much younger than the one at the Tour the France. Hope Johann & Jaco do well. Berhane seem to be in pretty good form at the moment so hopefully him and Louis can do well in the mountains as well.
  12. Johan van Zyl(AKA vansnail) going strong last few races. Looking forward seeing him in VUELTA. Hope Natnael can get a good GC in the Tour, If the get good results here and in Denmark they can even pass IAM into 16th place on the Rankings.
  13. Would like to see him get a win. Looks just like Edvald , just not enough speed when the pure sprinters gets going , but have got consistent top tens this year.
  14. I hope I have better luck with the draw than the Izuzu challenge where I also did all the challenges. But not getting the tour de Plett entry in the end.
  15. Am quite sure Darryl will be there, he has been in good form this year. MTN has strong climbing squad, Hope Jacques comes right after Dauphine was not to impressive. Kudus has also struggled this year but maybe has one good stage in him. Will be holding thumbs. DSTV normally not on but will have it connected for this month and will need to get home a bit sooner after work as well.
  16. Agree Kudus and Berhane have struggled a bit this year and I would feel they will be cut. They then have the two climbers in Meintjies , & Jansen Van Rensburg GC in Cummings Sprints Farrar, Reinie, Reguigui&boasen Hagen Classic stages, Boasen Hagen, Cumming, Pauwels & Reinie
  17. Was really hoping to get this , but enjoyed the challenge. Will definitely give it a crack again next time if it ever comes up. I would say make it a bit tougher , or allow a person to earn the badges more than once. Then take the guys with most badges to the draw.
  18. Just wanted to add that, Have had my butt kicked by some woman on MTB before.
  19. On another Note : According to this it is not required that you have a full licence to ride in Vets catogories.
  20. I wish that guys achieving these badges in events similar to the prize did not qualify, As they can afford these events by themselves based on that evidence. But since you know how it feels to do these events maybe you want it more. But any case I am just holding thumbs I get lucky Anyway good luck to all. Almost 3% chance so not bad
  21. Also completed . Last rides loaded to strava , yesterday. Not to hpefull anymore with climbing numbers of persons with 14 badges. Will be Crazy happy if I get this. Will go ride this weekend without needing badges to complete my training for the Monster next week.
  22. In the running but not completed yet, Where can we attach our letters pleading for an entry to the badges?
  23. Also have not added any badges to my 10 since Sunday. Hopefully I can get on the bike again tomorrow. Should get the 4 hour and the 5895 m this weekend leaving me the 600km and 30 hours for next week. Unfortunately the IDT does not add km's or meters climbing also not sure if it will add any time for that matter. But also only doing my training for the Magalies Monster that must reach its peak next weekend. Will be holding thumbs as this will be the only way I will ever afford to do a event like this.
  24. 4 to go, my challenge was made a bit more challenging when my light broke last wednesday and the fact that I need to travel for work this week, confining me to IDT, but should not stop me from achieving 2 more this week and last two next week. At least then i would have done my part. Must say did 2300 m ascend within 6 hours in Pta . In Bloemfontein it would have been a challenge.
  25. Did not think it would be possible for anyone to get this done in two weeks. But if doing multi stage race , I can understand it. At least no one achieved all the badges in the first day, as some of challenges ran on strava.
