  6. Thanks, My main issues was if the cassette would fit , Would I need a new freebody or maybe new hub. Will be taking the bike to LBS Monday to check out what is options. Did not think you would be able to use the same rear Deraileur but thinking about it it is the shifter that click in position not deraulieur. Will maybe give it ago with Shifter only and then get derailieur if needed. Do not know much about Mountain Bikes, Why do you say the fork a better option. My main thing is the last three options on my cassette is 22-26-32 but this can be changed by getting diffrent cassette as well.
  7. Got a 29er Merida bottom of range model. Would like to upgrade to 10 speed. Would I need a new Hub . The Shifter and deraileur should be quite easy but not sure about the cassette.
  8. Sad to have to say no to sponsored entry for this event. I geuss my wife will be happy that I choose to go back home for a change and not stay in gauteng for another week to do this race.

Also think team will back Jaques, and he should stay in yellow. There might be few attacks on the last climbs though and I am sure Louis & Kudus will go if Jaques can not with Sergio staying with him to help him home. But think he will keep yellow.

Jip, I think MTN now has all the cards. They have a strong climbing team for the day and should be able to control the peleton quite nice. Jaques would probably be able to keep the jersey but if not Kudus will be there to take over. Looking forward to it.

I would say that he would feel confident. I would geuss that Jauques Janse van rensburg/ or Sergio Pardilla would attack today and be in the break to force Rapha ConDor to chase. That would allow Louis and Kudus to go for GC.

As far as I have it there is quite a lot of climbing and MTN has four climbers out of 6 in there team. They will be able to strategise around this as the other teams will have to keep an eye on all the climbers.
  18. Jip, Just to add some perspective to this.Normally in a race in VB my Avg Heartrate would be at 85-90% of max heartrate. For this race in AL it was at 80%.
  19. White and Black with some Orange Cycleworld Kit. Jip worked together after being dropped on Hekpoort. Had a loose spoke so was carefull going down there.
  20. Looks Like THEHUBSA guys not doing to badly. Got 5th in A after I first was dropped on descent at Hekpoort while avaiding waterbottles. Worked with a group to get back. Also tried a break or two in last 15 km but nothing worked as the guys following me would not roll through to work together. But good result for me. Had a bnice bunch.
  21. Hi, Not Eunice myself, that was reply I got from Cycleevents. Will ask for the times when I get my seeding.
  22. Good day, People that are traveling far can collect it on the day of the race. For any other queries please do not hesitate to ask. Regards Eunice Allison Cycle Events Cycle Events
  23. Also saw this, Will see where I will be seeded as I guess I will have to get that full license to join the vets again so would not want my seeding index to fall as I am not joining the vets for this one. Will be hoping for sub 3 then as I see last year winning time in region of 2h40 min.
