  1. Lot less effort required it's like riding a bicycle with a motor you can almost freewheel the uphills 😜
  2. Yster 💪

  3. I think heat and sunburn is a big factor as well. Difficult to train for 45 degree heat if you live in the UK / Europe.
  4. +1 for TrainerDay.
  5. Please make sure you have Strava switched on, hope the battery last!
  6. 😂
  7. Did you miss the e-bikes on Strava thread 🤣
  8. Lol... Uber Eats number 4 on the list 🤣 If you subscribe to any of the META apps I don't think you have to worry about Strava.
  9. Ja, they said that they did not want to take the chance of stuffing their bikes up.
  10. I have two mates who attempted it on their ebikes they rode with spare battery's, gave up on day 5 because it was too muddy.
  11. Cool vid, pity they did not cover hand-dug mines in Congo. I don't think most people realise or care what impact the Lithium gold rush is going to have on the planet. Sadly there is no stopping it.
  12. Agreed! It is almost as bad as doing Jhb2C on an ebikes. 🤣
  13. lol... hook, line & sinker
  14. Lol... I know this is an exaggeration but it is still funny 😁 Interesting read regarding conflict minerals and environmental impact of ebikes: https://www.ethicalconsumer.org/transport-travel/shopping-guide/electric-bikes "While we do not know of any ebike battery that comes from a company that has a good conflict minerals policy, Panasonic and Samsung both get our middle rating (which is better than the rest), although they are not without criticism in this area"
  15. If you are just riding for fun what is the problem with starting in your own batch at the back of the race?
  16. lol... I was thinking the same thing 🤣
  17. I do belief that most of us agree with this. Give them their own starting batch at the back of the field.
  18. My sentiments exactly.
  19. Should be kept separate. E-bikes should have their own events.
  20. Don't forget to ad blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and insulin levels to the equation as well. Doesn't help if you are skinny, fit and unhealthy 🤣
  21. All depends on your budget. According to DC Rainmaker if you are in the market for a mid-range trainer, this is definitely among the top options out there to consider. Hope this helps. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2020/11/smart-cycle-trainer-recommendations-guide-winter.html/ https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2017/07/wahoo-kickr-snap-2017-v2-trainer.html Have a look at second hand Trainers as well, you might find a direct-drive trainer at a good price. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/indoor-trainers-and-accessories
  22. There is nothing in the 2 day Berg & Bush that needs a DS. With all the climbing a HT would most probaly be better suited for the ride. The trails are perfectly manicured, they sweep the trails in the mornings before you ride them.
