  1. I found the 80km to 106km section proper tough. The sand and wind was the killer not so much the elevation. But no complaints, some suffering is expected and it was an awesome day out and I will definitely do it again.

  15. and there is a big difference between riding and racing a stage race. You can be fit and prepared and still blow it by getting your pacing wrong.
  16. I run Recon Race 2.35 front and back love them in dry conditions not so much in the wet.
  17. I wonder when it comes to Free-hubs what is better 3 pawl or ratchet? I had the 3 pawl fail on my bike last week.

  20. I think heat and sunburn is a big factor as well. Difficult to train for 45 degree heat if you live in the UK / Europe.
