I can concur with most of your thoughts. I enjoyed it, and so dids the whole family. Mary Pebbles was a ball. This week is time to try to sort out my bike, the mud did cause some problems.

Just a quick update. We went there 2 weekends ago, and had a wonderfull time. My 10 year old loved it, and we stayed there for the whole day. He will be racing early in December, and cannot wait for it.

Just give it some time. I had the same sort of "disapointed" feeling when switching from a 1999 Trek HT to a 2007 Stumpy FSR. Ride a couple of times, and when you look back then, you will actually notice a bigger difference.

Going down the switchbacks must be scary.
