Those Maxxis Icon tyres with white writing that come with new Meridas and Scotts and other brands are super *** tyres that are only good for hangind up in your garage or selling on the hub. They got no protection whatsoever and a small piece of glass or a baby thorn will puncture them easily. OEM Tyres they are called 60 TPI . (They are not even good for running tubes never mind tubeless). Serious Bike Shops usually throw them out when you buy a new bike. Last year Kyalami Cycle Tech was selling them for 100 bucks each.

They Should, I been there 2 Saturdays in a row and noticed less riders, say compared to last year.

Once you do a repair to a bike frame you cannot ever sell the frame or complete bike without disclosure to the prospective buyer. Something of this value is not worthwhile to fight in court except if the lawyer / (Law Firm) is working for free.

Maybe he struck a deal !

If you have one of these bikes it might be a good idea to check if the BB is correct.

If the hub is sealed bearing type the bearings need to be replaced when they become noisy or rough it all depends if the bearing was exposed to soaps, degreasers, solvents and water or not. Some sealed bearings can be cleaned and repacked with grease, a lot of people do this. Cup and cone types can be kept going for many thousands of km just by cleaning and repacking with grease. If the grease is washed out you just do it again. The balls and cones can be replaced but if the seats are very bad the whole hub needs to be replaced. Adjustment is quite critical.

Try 18 psi 1.3 bar A few psi can make a big diff Also check your gauge is accurate Dont use front brakes on corners

These bikes are good value when you compare apples with apples. (forget branding) Makro will sell them all.

If you do Yellow + all the Reds it's about 18 Km. Gps under reads a bit @ BCC because of all the tight corners.

Cannondale is owned by Dorel Sports which is part of a Canadian Group named Dorel. Dorel Sports, brands include Cannondale, Schwinn, GT, Mongoose, Caloi, Roadmaster, Iron Horse and SUGOI. Dorel is struggling to make consistent profits for it's shareholders since 2016. Surely they would like to do business with other big International Retail Groups in order to improve their position ? Bike Brands are not owned by cyclists they are owned by Shareholders.
