  1. I will allow that bike on my Persian carpet!
  2. John O'Conner Cycles (JOC) in Sea Point, Cape Town. Sure they will mail you.
  3. Forget about your strength, which is obviously the ability to talk bs, and concentrate on your weakness, which is climbing, and train more hills. Like Dangle said, it will get better eventually.
  4. When I built my bike, I chose a 2X10 XTR groupset, cause I figured, all the pros are riding 2X10, and it's gotta be good, but little did I know that a dude who is riding his bike in his backyard will proof me wrong. Guess my next bike will be sporting an Alivio 9 speed groupset with a tripple crank!
  5. If you are a strong climber, you don't need climbing specific wheels, so rather go with a set of areo wheels with a higher profile, so that you can benefit on the flats too.
  6. My watches.... Polar TF80 (on the bike), Rolex Submariner (on the move), Tag Heuer Aquaracer (cause everybody has one) and a Mont Blanc Sport Chronograph (cause it is exclusive).
  7. Compact cranks are great for climbing and races with lots of rollers, but TTing should be done with standard cranks imo. I ride compact and love it!
  8. My black SL4 updated.
  9. Thanx for the compliment. The Rovals are my training wheels, maybe a bit to ostentatious, but still a good wheelset. Regarding the bottle cages, I think the Spez Ribcage is the best there is.
  10. My 2012 wheelset came standard with the new Zipp Pro pad (grey) made by Swisstop. I think the 2011 models came with Zipp cork stoppers!
  11. Awesome bike, can't say any more!
  12. My SL4, upgraded with a Zipp 404 Firecrest wheelset.
  13. Superfly Pro.......not!
  14. New Virgin spinning bikes sux!
  15. Your bike is not supposed to hang in the garage or be stationary for more than two days!
  16. Remove the thorns during your maintenace routines, and if sealant does not seal the tyre, plug it. You don't want the thorn to come out during a ride, or even worse, a race!
  17. Remember to wear your helmet....no helmet no ride!
  18. Can't wait to do the track!
  19. A young dude shares his experience with a portion of the cycling community, probably to warn them of the dangers (and embarrassment) of riding a cheap, unbranded and untested carbon frame, like the ones often appearing in the classified section (some still unbranded and others sporting ridiculous names on the tubes), and what happens...he gets attacked and accussed of bringing the no-name-brand industry into disrepute. Ride what you want, but live with the consequences if you skimp on quality, cause no will tell me that the same effort and research goes into unbranded frames as top-end manufacturers do with their products.
  20. Reminds me of something a heard from Dr Ruth, but instead of frames, she spoke about men!
  21. Not maybe ET sitting on your bars?
  22. Nothing wrong with buying a Merida, and R6.5K is a good deal for a good bike!
  23. First try them out, and decide if they will work for you. Just beware that they will quickly show signs of small cuts, which will not necesssarily result in the loss of pressure or a puncture, although they are not super puncture resistant.
  24. Vittoria Rubino tyres are prone to cuts, will never fit a set again on my bike. If it has not got Schwalbe written on the side wall, it's not going on my rims!
