Before I used clipless pedals on my spinning bike at home, I wore running shoes and normal flat metal pedals. These shoes were only used on the spinning bike, and not even for walking. Noticed much more wear on the sole of the righ hand shoes than on the left one, which makes me believe that I pedal much harder with the right leg.

I did the Cobra cause it was a league race. I committed myself to league racing, and think that at R150 a race the price is fair. Still not interested in this race Tiny, no matter which way you look at it. The 99er weekend is the only free weekend in the league race calender for almost two months, and I will definitely not forfeit my chance to take a breather at a cost of R190 to suffer up Vissershok.

Hey Geno, that is a R20 saving if you have'nt overslept, and the added bonus is that Hellshoogte is not close the ascent of Vissershok. I remember a pic of you here on the Hub going uphill last year, looking very strong. Go Geno, go!

Nothing wrong in drafting the ladies. I ride league in the Vets where the racing ladies are part of the same bunch. We all take our turn to work, and if that turn is bestowed upon the fairer sex, the guys draft, no problem!

The ridiculous price of this event is why I boycott it.

For your budget and your weight I would recommend the American Classic Tubeless. Cheap, strong and light (although Keith Bontrager once said there is no such thing!). I ride on a set of Easton EA90XC 29er wheels. All the qualities of the American Classic, with an added bonus of good looks too, but at a slightly higher price.

2012 will be Burry's year cause he is getting married soon! Nothing to do with cycling!
