  1. Looks like the calender is filling up now! Stellenbosch Cycle Tour, DC, CWC Durbie Dash, Heals on wheels all on the calender for races coming up. Obviously you wont be able to claim cash back for these as most will have already entered, but it certainly seems like there's enough races to claim back the activation costs in entry fees, get a decent ftech shirt and at some events enjoy some post race hospitality! I'll be joining shortly and see how it goes into the new year...
  2. Condoms work well for when your feet swell too...
  3. Also rode in from Tableview this morning and got properly wet! 1. Clear lens glasses for night and early morning rides! 2. Black Bag over your supposed to be waterproof jacket is the only option. But you'll sweat like a labourer in the desert if you're riding hard. 3. Couldn't find my overboots to keep the shoes semi dry so I've found a little trick that works a treat. Get 2 pairs of your thinnest socks out. Put on the better pair first. Grab a plastic packet and put your foot in it. Pull it tight and trim just above the sock line. Tuck that extra lip in. Put the 2nd pair on over the plastic and then into the shoes. Yep feet can't breathe as well as they normally do, but you won't get cold, wet feet on the ride which is the better trade off!
  4. CONGRATS Matt and co! Here's to some greater success for you guys!

It's funny how ANYTHING becomes so valid and important when you're supposed to sit down and start crunching some studies! This hazard really tripped me up as a younger chap!
  7. Keep an eye out for a Suz DRZ400. They are roughly in that price bracket and enough bike to have some fun on. Their motard version is such a lekka commuter.
  8. My brother is busy with a rally raid project on his second WR450! Will end up looking like that CRF but in blue.
  9. Here you go. Pair the fork to this and do a review! http://www.marathonmtb.com/2015/05/11/bmc-release-new-teamelite-01-a-racing-evolution/
  10. Sounds like the perfect fork for that new BMC pseudo hardtail frame!
  11. That's what some ous say, but you wont know till you go!
  12. I'm still waiting to score perfect Bikini Beach in the right swell conditions with the left that runs along there. Only ever been that side once in conditions that were workable as I'm usually up the 'weskus is die bes kus'... Betty's Bay in front of the Sand Dune is possibly my favourite along that whole stretch! Loves winter and the howling North Wester in medium size conditions!
  13. Paarl is a long way to drive for a regular surf bru!

Nought, I'd rather search for another news source! Journos get paid money, do the job properly. Added the link as an example of what is out there. Already got the jist of the content.

Anyone able to figure out with the bold text above was trying to say?? This is very poor journalism!

The link in the post above doesn't work so I searched for another news source and found this. Grammar nazis DO NOT click this link!!!! They make SA based journos seem like the custodians of Queen's English! Repeat, DO NOT click on this link if you're a grammar nazi! http://www.qatardailystar.com/motogp-qatar-bautista-blames-marquez-for-retirement/ (If anyone else can understand this English, please translate it into English the rest of us will know!)

It looks like it could be a fantastic season of racing that awaits! It's only the first race and already there were some VERY REAL performances in just this first installment!

2 years later and it's 109 wins in total and counting... What a ride The Doctor! Didn't get to see it live and heard the result, then watched the rerun of the race and saw VR drop to 10th at the end of the first lap and thought, huh, is this really the right race? How's he gonna win from here?? Magic!
  22. Wait, you have to join TV and then join C100 too? Pay twice?? Huh???
  23. Doesn't feel like a choke cos you could see the heart that they put into their efforts! That's encouraging to see from a team that go into a tournament with as much pressure as they do! But the missed chances added together are hard to accept. They had more than 4 opportunities and only had to take 1 of them to really change the swing of events at the time! None unfortunately went the SA way... 1 - Duminy's attempted tackle of Behardien whilst he was under the ball to catch Elliot was schoolboy cricket at best. 2 - QDK missing the ball on the runout attempt when the game was poised as it was at the time! Ronchi had just gone out 2 balls earlier! 3 - AB's first runout attempt on Anderson was tricky but he had enough time to gather up the ball again and hit the stumps when he should've pulled it out. Anderson had given up. Harsh effort but a missed chance as well! 4 - AB's quick fielding and missed shy at the stumps when Vettori had backed up as much as he did. Extras - Gotta say there were plenty of half chances. Vettori ran 2 byes in the last over to get through on deliveries he made no contact with. Ball went directly through to QDK. Gotta get one of those! Still trying to understand why Faf would call for the catch trying to run with the ball when Hash was able to go towards it and cover the ground, eventually pulling back to give Faf space and watch the ball land untounched. Duminy's runout attempt at the top of the order effort was not even close to the stumps! That would've been Mac walking back with much less on the scorecard! Coulda, woulda, shoulda! Was a thrilling contest!
  24. Still amazed that Albie is not in the side and hasn't been for some time.... Far lessor players have had much greater opportunity than he did! Look what he did in the Cobra vs Titan final just a few weeks ago! Yes, he is expensive if used as a death bowler, but he brings more to the table in both batting AND bowling than many of the players being discussed on this thread.
