Aaron did my set up for me and it has made a huge difference , I was amazed what he found wrong appart from the saddle height. Was well worth the money spent. Would recomend him anytime.

It sure affected the handling. The handling of the tubbies at 9-10 bar was much morse than my Eastons I used for the rest of the tour, felt much more in controll of the bike on the descends, and the rough surfaces. How scary was it comming down that decent on the first stage after the turn arround - I was doing 80km plus and I was on my brakes plus there was a group of 40s comming arround that corner when I was going down and on top of that I am not the best decender arround. Not fun

Maybe that is why I got dropped ? Will try that excuse with Hook it and see what he says !!!

I was on your wheel when your tyre popped , thought it was my tubby. Got a huge fright - lucky we were going slowly at the time. I ride bora and pump my tubbies to close on 12 bar. I have gatterskin's on them - havent had a single problem with them in more than a year.

Bora Ultras Rule !!!! I have a set on my bike and they are the ultimate ! The only downside is that you cant put a power tap hub in them

Burry Stander used Sram Red in the Giro and he came 15th overall. Cant be to much wrong with these shifters.

We have a group of about 25 guys that ride most days of the week. Due to the motorist we have in KZN (am sure its worse in JHB) we take turns to drive behind our group of cyclists. The following vehicle has an orange light on it and stays behind the majority of the group. A member of the group keeps a roster going and we get to drive once a month or so. In the year or so that we have had this backup vehicle running, it has improved the safety alot. The backup vehicle also carry a spare set of wheels (if the driver has a set as well) as a foot pump, levers, spare tubes and a bike rack. I am not sure if this backup vehicle would have helped with the bread truck this AM but the lights of the vehicle might have made the driver of the bread truck more aware of the on comming cyclist.

Grape flavoured Cytomax's rules - not to sweet and goes down easily.

I race Bora and train with Zonda's. I tried the Bora carbon brake block that came with the wheels but found that I couldnt stop properly with the Bora and the Zonda's squeeled like hell everytime I used my brakes. I change them to Bontrager Cork blocks - about R500 a set if I remember correctly. I have had them on for about 8 months now and have had zero problems with either sets of wheels. They both stop properly and dont make that irritating queel that the carbon blocks did on the zonda's Its worth spending a little more to get a good set of break blocks.

There shouldnt be a need to tweek the settings of your back derailleur, I use Campy record and have 3 sets of wheels that I swop all the time. I go between Zonda's with 25/12 Kysrium's with 25/12 and race on Bora with 23/11.

Hi Wild Just what I have been told but a person that has used it for 15yrs but not in cycling in Canoeing. Never tried to mix so I cant comment

I only use cytomax with great results (I think). I dont use the preperfomance anymore as I find that it didn't agree with my stomach and I felt bloated after drinking it. Saying this I have never tried any of the other drinks out there. The only downside to cytomax that I know about (appart from the price) is that you cant mix any drink with cytomax IE if you run out during a race you cant stop at a table and fill up with coke.
