Orca - I saw those on a US site, but when I looked on the conti site, they showed just about every colour under the sun, but no pink. Perhaps I should get the red ones and leave them in the sun to fade a bit?

I think the break in was after the security guard had already left. Two weeks ago when I went there, the guard told me that he leaves at 17h30.

A collegue told me a story about a friend of a friend who had their car broken into and tyres slashed in the parking lot, late-ish one afternoon at Tokai.

Ok - so short of putting pink tassles, a basket and a horn on my bicycle, I'm "pinking" my bike up. Small things in life excite me - like my new and snazzy pink handlebar tape on my silver Raleigh (I'm a girl and talk in colours, not techs and specs), but I need something else pink to match the tape. I origninally wanted a pink saddle, but can't find any of those. Colonel suggested pink tyres. Do any hubbers know where I can find either pink tyres or / and a pink saddle? I should probably just go get a pink bike!

Are these muggings specific to Table Mountain? How safe is Tokai? If I feel adventurous, I normally go up there by myself either on a Friday afternoon (after 4) or on a Saturday morning.

How professional is aggressive? You can still get your point across in an assertive manner, without playing silent politics.

What I did giggle at, was when she said, "I had a 30 min conversation with one of the selectors, I'm not going to mention names, but it was the head selector" I do think that she has very valid points, but that there is a fine line between assertive, and being aggressive, and that her points need to be presented in a less agressive way, if she is fighting for ladies cycling in general.

I have recently been measured for my bike. Your shoulder blades should not stretch more than 3cm when your hands are on the hoods. If they are opening up more than 3, you need a shorter stem.
