  3. I have hypothyroidism and it seems that this diet is basically what you would have to follow. Who else has this problem and what are you taking or doing to improve it?

  9. Sorry, should have read mentioned sugar a lot. For interest sake, is that natural sugar or refined sugar? I rather enjoy reading up on food and different ways that we react to it.
  10. Highly doubt that I produce Ketones and definitely not going to test for it. I just don't eat grain or refined carbs and I have never been a big fan of fruit. Don't eat sweets either.Eat an apple or a Banana every other day. Don't eat low fat stuff mainly because it tastes k@k and has a lot of refined sugar which again, in my opinion, is not that great. Just to make sure, I see that you push alot of sugar. You are referring to natural sugar am I right?
  11. Thanks Topwine, Unfortunately there is no cure for low morphology. There is also no apparent cause for it. There are some guys on the internet that reckon taking certain vitamins would work. I have lost 24kg on low carb diet and feel very good. Did xsterra, half ironman and Sani2C this year and feel my performance was fine. Did test just after these events and then did not aerobic exercise and returned the same result. I am of the opinion that cycling etc. has no effect on this. But I am no doctor and this is just my opinion.

  14. Thanks. Very interesting tool. Still think that is flawed. What are they comparing these expenses against? An average? I am comparing simply what I am paying now against what I paid last year. Comparing this to my annual increase, my disposable income is getting less and less. It would be very interesting to see who's actual disposable income is increasing year on year, hell, even staying constant would be nice.
  15. i love having the CPI fight at work, or wherever I can. Have you worked out what your personal inflation is. Take your normal basket of good. Fuel, food, clothes, electricity and even your monthly bike consumables and check what you come out on! I check our fuel log last night, when we got our vehicle same time last year, we were paying around R10.94 per litre of Diesel, not its over R13.50/l. That is over 20% on one item and unfortunately a very big spend in most of our budgets!

  18. I think that in the current environment that we live in, you should supplement Omega 3 and Vitamin D. Good heart or Bad heart, we do not eat enough food containing Omega 3 fats. The current western diet (Which we closely follow in my opinion) is around 10:1 Omega 6 vs Omega 3. So take Omega 3 for overall heart health. Vitamin D because most of us sit indoors most of the day and getting even a small amount of sun light is difficult. The only food you can eat (I think this is the only food), that contains Vitamin D is Mushrooms.
