Eventually got on the waiting list - but if I had known this when I clicked at 12:00 and nothing happened i think I would be on - very bad programming so some people are now on a waiting list because the system did "nothing" on screen so u thought it had not taken and then you refreshed and tired and tried - oh well - will see what happens.

I have decided to do the half Ironman in Jan 2012 - the cycling bit will be easy for me - but thinking I need some assistance in setting up a programme for training and someone to monitor my progress. Do not want to loose my MTB fitness as still my primary sport of choice. Wanting to look at things like HR, strength and VO2. Can anyone suggest a good coach / trainer in the JHB area who will draw up a specific programme for me and monitor my progress?

  12. Got a mate who works for Giant overseas - only USA frames - easy to check by seriel numbers.
  13. Petrol is covered as well as camping fees - unless there is a major medical need or expense the costs come out the guys own pockets - but that is why it is called VOLUNTEER. Besides ORRU gets to ride in some amazing places and any other professional service at the same level would cost u and arm and a leg - due to MTB terrain.

  17. what a ride - in teh dry would be awesome - in the wet it was madness - very little climbing but the mud just sucked you in and held you back - 6hrs 15min what a ride
  18. weather for tomorrow is at 08:00 16degrees and over cast, 14:00 25 degress and partly cloudy
  19. I am doing it on Saturday at 06:30 if you want - slow ride - will be in Cream Landy with Rescue on it at BP garage at 06:15 or 06:30 if you want to join.
