  1. She is Catholic, Holy Cows don't apply
  2. Where do you ride for most of the year?
  3. Thanks, just having a bit of difficulty locating the database, is that the TCD file in the "User data" folder? I also just did a backup and that is also a TCD file, but in the backup folder I just created, could I use either of those? If thats the date file I'm needing to import into SportsTrack of previous rides/ workouts. What is the file extension that you can share for a particular ride? for example I've done I ride and you want to do the same course but follow it on your Edge 500
  4. Is it possible to get my info from GTC into Sportstracks, or do I start from scratch?
  5. A mate of mine has recently got a Tallboy, I saw him out on a ride today and after admiring his new stallion I noticed that he had a Chub front hub. This is the first time I've seen one of these, he reckons it stiffens the front wheel up big time, yet he did not run one at the back, he had a DT Swiss. Now not being a 29er rider, I was wondering if there are any others that use them and have any feedback, why not use them front & back? Looking at the website, they dont seem to do them as a rear hub unless its single speed or fixed speed.
  6. For us mere mortals it is He shreds on that thing, when you're good you're good
  7. There was a definite difference in the feel of the ride today with the carbon bars.
  8. Exactly what I've just done, and built an awesome bike, a lot of new parts as well. You are going to get a much better 20k hardtail then you will for a 20k dual suspension. Is there not a hubber that can help the man at a shop? Don't listen to your work collegue, you can get a decent dual for R12K. Maybe not budget so much for kit, 10K seems a hell of a lot. If they can do you a deal, I'm sure you could do all you need for about R6-8K, with R2k left for the bike
  9. Only up until the Argus, been making great use of it.
  10. They look sweet . Strange how they don't release it all at the same time though, any reasons for this?
  11. I came across this article.
  12. The funny thing about this, after doing much reading and research is that most people won't even know the difference.
  13. I think maybe look at the way you are riding first before getting a new crankset or arms. Especially choosing the right lines, a full suspension bike makes you a bit lazier on the trails in my opinion, cause you just think the suspension will take it. I also ride a Trance and it does happen from time to time. I'm 1.8m and have 175mm cranks on my Trance. Don't forget momentum is your friend, so instead of pedalling, rather roll over the obstacles with your cranks parallel to the ground.
  14. I was made aware that my carbon frame has also got a warrenty for the duration of my ownership, however long it is. Already conflicting warrenty stories we have been given. A far as I have read, is that Giant has the same warrenty for wherever you are.
  15. That sounds about right for then, I'm still awaiting my call back from 2 weeks ago, seems most of these agents have the same shite attitude when dealing with customers. Drives me f*#king mental it does. I mean how hard is it to confirm something
  16. Its is indeed, have you called Dragons yet?
  17. http://www.hotfrog.co.za/Companies/Dragons-Sports
  18. Call Dragons Sports and find out, that way you got the info straight from the horses mouth. I'm also very interested as I've just stuck a 120mm fork onto my new Giant XTC, sold to me by the biggest Giant retailer in Durbs, they said nothing to me about voiding warrenties, I also bought just the frame and the fork from them. While you are asking them, ask if I file out my cable guides will that void my warrenty, so I can run continues cable outers.
  19. Thats what Bear Grylls does for training. I've gotten cramps for years, even in my teens. Whether it is from going riding/ surfing or bodyboarding . I always cramp in the same two spots, I use the USN crampblockers and they work for me. I also previously said that I've been giving them to my mother who gets bad cramps all the time from poor circulation, and they work for her. The doctor put it down to bad circulation in my case and not under training because at the time I was still playing club rugby and my fitness levels were very high. Everybody is different so what might work for someone, might not work for others. Best bet is to try a few of the products on the market and see which works for you.
  20. On the float with the Village Idiots People, sorry my bad.
