  1. If you have the money to get the bike to a decent spec & weight then by all means have a 29er, they do make sense. For those that do not have the funds to pay R25K +++ to have a decent speced bike, a 26" makes sense then. I've just spent R11k and I'm now riding a brand new 10.5kg Carbon bike. Then when I get my 650B wheelset built it would have cost me just R14K. Maybe extending to R16K when I get a new brakeset, thats not needed for a while though. Plus I can have two bikes to just one really expensive one. Happy Days
  2. I shall celebrate it knowing that I'm getting great prices on 26" frames & parts
  3. I can't stand that description ASG - The man behind the mask????
  4. It's happening as we speak. Lots to do still, 18 000 tools to catalogue aint an easy thing to do. Soon as we are up & running then I will let you know.
  5. I got everything on my bucket list Probably about R6k ++ of free tools coming my way. I may also be getting all the various size torque wrenches you will need, this will be confirmed tomorrow. I can get the Geodore range as well. I will be be getting full prices and catalogue in the next few days. I'm thinking along the lines of a bicycle related maintanence tool kit at good prices This is going to be huge so watch this space.
  6. For that I would use a mobile waterjet cutter, no chance of burning the money.
  7. The guys I worked with in the UK all had Festool Tools, man it was a privilege to be using tools of that caliber. A hand router used to go for about 750 pounds, the cordless drills are the bees knees too, all of it superb quality. I'll never forget when they all laughed at me with my Black & Decker DIY cordless drill for site instillations. Needless to say I had to upgrade
  8. Best range of tools I've ever had the pleasure of using are Festool. Beautifully made and work like a dream, more for tradesmen then DIY, but one day I will have them. The cost a fortune, but are certainly worth it.
  9. They will be/ are, they were just not in this particular brochure. I can get back to you
  10. I have chosen very well Irwin Chisel set, metal swiveling vice, Full 218 piece Irwin ratchet socket set, long reach T allen ket set, torque wrench I've added in, +++++ The stuff he has been given for home use is sick, he has now got more tools then a builders warehouse for his personal use
  11. Tools have been selected, lets see what Santa brings me He did not have the full brochure as they still getting printed, but they do anything & pretty much everything. The brands are, Stanley, Irwin, Marshal Tools, Black & Decker to name a few. Any contractors, builders, Large Orginisations etc that need tools & equipment please PM me - Help a Hubber.
  12. I gave some Cramp Ease to my mom as she has bad circulation and often gets cramp, it works for her. I've since had to buy her a pack. Some times that placebo effect can work wonders.
  13. New crank please They are doing a good deal on XT 3x10 Dynasys cranks at Easybike, cheapest I have found.
  14. There seems to be another problem here, that cap should NOT be holding the crank arm in place. I also had one missing and got a replacement from the LBS, you will need a tool to get it properly tightened. Its more a safety feature for the crank arm not to fall of.
  15. Don't be silly, no one really wants to stay there. Hilton is another great option
  16. Try to get a place close to Karkloof in that case, then you can get some nice riding done in the morning, and then head off to the venue.
  17. +1 for this, then you have Karkloof for riding as well
  18. Not been there, but I'm pretty sure the dam is not in PMB, closer to Hillcrest/ Shongweni in Durban then Maritzburg.
  19. My sister & family are emigrating to Vancouver this year, that will be my next trip overseas. I can't wait
  20. I inherited all my Uncles old tools, and there is some Stanley stuff in there that is most probably older then me , there are some really old school wood working tools as he was a carpenter. Need to be cleaned up, thats a project all by itself.
  21. Eish, that does not sound good, I've got a lot of Stanley tools, these I bought about 5-6 years ago while in the UK. When did they get so bad with their quality?
  22. Well that summed it all up in one sentence
