  1. Lets see a pic of the bakkie . Try getting a hold of the Stans agents in SA they have rims at the moment, you will need to measaure the bike to see if you have the clearence for them first.
  2. In Camden Town in London, they have loads of those old woolen cycling jerseys, hundreds & hundreds of them, they always looked so hot to wear while riding, what was it like back then?
  3. My Spez saddle that I'[ve has since 2003, it has now been moved over to my new build, love it. Not sure it looks to good on the new bike
  4. I need some advise on what the difference in rise is between the two bars, one being the low rise and the high rise. It does not say what it is on the website, Ive found this I want to buy, http://www.obike.co.za/Products/ProductsB.aspx or http://www.cyclesonline.co.za/pEM29940/Easton-EC70-XC-Riser-Handlebar-685-318-Carbon.aspx Here is a link to the Easton site. Many Thanks
  5. Hectic, all the best for your brothers recovery
  6. So sorry to hear, a good mate of mine had it, he has not been able to ride for over two years now. I hope you come right
  7. Go the other way, problem solved. Sounds like it could be a jol though
  8. +1 , What he said. For myself personally, my budget dictated that I could not build a 29er that would come in at under 10kg, so I have gone for a new carbon 26" frame with the 650B wheels( in the next few months I will get my new wheels), and should be slightly over 10kg with the bigger wheels.
  9. I was chatting to my friend overseas who used to own my LBS there, she now works for one of the UK's biggest distributors, Fisher Outdoor (she is friends with Danny Hart & the co founder of Sram, I forget his name right now) and the whole 650B is gonna be huge by the end of this year, she also says that 29ers have NOT become as big a thing there as they have here.
  10. I see we now have a "like" button now, how about an "unlike" button. How long has that been there for?
  11. I will be doing a conversion at some stage too, I know there are an abundance of 650B Stans rims, try get a hold of the agents, I'm sure you can get a better deal. For me I just need to to get rims & spokes.
  12. Your best bet is to get a vernier and tape measure out and do some measuring to see if it can work on your frame, check out this. There is also 650Bpalace to check if your frame will work.
  13. Damn, I really should have listened better and read between the lines, you smarty pants you
  14. So after reading 9 pages and 140 odd replies, seen the picture of him wearing the kit, what was actually the problem? Did I miss this or do I need to go back and read it all again.
  15. OK that did not come out right, it was not really a joke but more of a stand up comedian talking on stage.
  16. The joke I heard on the radio this arvo made me laugh during the Fresh Drive, "why is is always the fat ugly girls that are the most paranoid of having their drinks spiked with roofies"
  17. lol, I know the feeling at the moment My new build should be up and running by tomorrow, pics to follow.
  18. Why didn't you get it built up with the parts you wanted at the shop?
  19. Dagnamit, this is so confusing. So many choices, and one change makes such a difference. Do you go riser stem with flat bar, or flat stem and flat bar. Why would you invert it instead of just having a flat stem?
