I'm going to The Baths for 3 days, in Citrusdale. Does anyone know if there is decent riding/ trails in the area?

Whats up with the cycle lanes in the city, they have lamp posts, traders and dustbins right in the middle of the cycling lanes This is not to mention all the broken glass lying about.

I'm down there for 3 weeks, so hopefully would like to fit a ride on the Mountain with someone if possible

Is there any particular reason you ended up with the 29" DS and 26"HT, I'm now thinking having a 26" DS & getting a 29" hardtail( in the not too distant future I hope) After riding the Santa Cruz Tallboy for 3 days, I fell in love with that bike - So much of confusion.

After spending a long weekend trying out a Santa Cruz Tallboy, I can now convincingly say I would like a 29er at some stage. In saying that I still love riding my 26" bikes, but when I rode yesterday the 26'er felt rather small somehow, or I felt to big on it

Yeah I have got it turned on ( I think).I would like to do it manually now because of the issues im having with my GPS, I turn it one but it never finds any satellites, hence why I need to go into the shop to see what the problem is, unless anyone else here also has a Sony Ericsson Vivaz that could help

I've tried the Endomondo route, but there appears to be an issue with the GPS on my phone as I cannot get any satellite coverage for some reason, need to go into the shop to find out why. I've got it on my phone, but because of the satellite issue it does not map the ride

I'm currently riding my training bike without a cyclometer/ gps unit - I've been training for about an hour and a half every afternoon, now I would like to know how far I've ridden and I would also like to be able to see or plan my route. Is this possible to do on Google maps or Google Earth( maybe another mapping program), whereby I can click along the route I know I've ridden on the interactive map and it will plot my route showing the distance covered? I find the passengers as much to blame, they hail down taxis anywhere.

I have been reporting Taxis for ages along a stretch of road I ride and drive on every day. So yesterday, the Metro cops where out stopping taxis for the exact complaint I made, taxis stopping anywhere So it does help sometimes, although I have been complaining on a regular basis that an accident will happen or someone will be killed, a young schoolgirl was killed.

I'm gonna be in Citrusdale, at The Baths for 3 days, just wanted to find out what trails and whats the riding like there and in the surrounding area. Also, besides Tokai in Cape Town & surrounds, where else should I going to to find some trails, not sure if anyone would be keen to hook up for some rides. Im in Cape Town(23/12 - 6/1)
