I’m looking for a 11 speed cassette for my indoor trainer. Not looking for anything fancy. Would be grateful if someone can assist.
Hi Folks, I'm looking for a 12x142 thru axle with a 1mm thread pitch. I made the mistake of buying one with a 1.5mm pitch 🙄 Didn't realize there so many different options. Anyone in the Gauteng area that can assist / trade for one? Thanks
I recently bought a groupset off BikeHub and asked the seller to ship this through Pudo. I have done this in the past without any problems.
I got an e-mail yesterday evening to notify me that the locker where the goods were supposed to be collected was empty. I queried it with the seller who confirmed that the goods were placed in the locker and he received confirmation that it was deposited. I have queried it with the courier company and awaiting a response. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Can anyone assist with a remote lockout for a front Fox 32 shock? I’m trying to help a friend.
Hi Folks, I’m looking for the Mavic rear thru axle adapter for my Mavic CrossMax SLR rear wheel. It currently has a quick release.

Thank you for the info, much appreciated.
I had the same problem and used dry ice to freeze / shrink the seatpost.
I used an old 2l plastic cool drink bottle and cut it down the middle to get it around the seatpost. Taped it up and chipped pieces of dry ice off and filled it up around the seatpost.
The seatpost gets a lot colder than using normal ice and I was lucky enough to free the seatpost

My current road bike is a Hansom 708, was my mates, his mom didn’t flog it.
I therefore have a real soft spot for old Hansoms. I am still looking for a 53cm, 753 Hansom.
Oh boy, the similarities are uncanny, same thing happened to me. After school I went to the airforce for my “diensplig” coming home I discovered my bike was sold, even my cycling kit as it fitted the guy who bought the bike! “Because you have a car, why would you need a bicycle”
All I have left is a photo. I also wondered what happened to my old bike

Reynolds 525, in the early 90’s I had a Peugeot with Reynolds 653 tubing. Riding this steel frame brings back fond memories

You can also try Wayne form Rapide
Point taken. You can set the spring to a certain extent. I guess it’s not an issue for me as I am a lightweight. The Marlin 8 does have a air fork though.
I scored a bargain. It was a 2019 model that I bought in 2020. I think they were clearing old stock.
In my opinion there is a lot of hype regarding air and coil. Coil is more affordable to service and easy to setup. If you don’t do big drops the rockshox xc30 coil is more then capable. Always a lekker feeling to ride a section where my mates push their bikes that cost 5 times more than mine. However I don’t like the Suntour coil fork on my wife’s Marlin 5.
I bought a Trek Marlin 7 last year in February. I am very happy with my purchase. I do gravel and single track with it. It was a big upgrade from my “26 Giant Nrs1 carbon. Prices were also a lot more reasonable then
Looks like we have similar bikes. I spoke to Peter from Road Cycles in Silverton about mine. He remembers these bikes in the smallest detail. According to him these bicycles were manufactured in Springs in the early to middle ‘70s. Some were sponsored to the cyclists who took part in the Rapport tour.
Unfortunately the frame is a bit big for me. Top tube is 57, downtube 58
Here are some photos of mine.
