  1. Tacx flux is a great unit. Have not had any issues with mine. Also like the feel of the trainer during resistance changes.
  2. Any feedback on enduroseal in road tubeless setup? Or should I just go with orangeseal from the start?
  3. I also want to bring zwift into the topic. I could not find the exact numbers, but zwift members have grown through and past covid times. Zwift racing is getting more and more popular. Different routes, zero additional entrance fees, team racing. And most importantly, categorised racing. This allows anyone to have a good race against similar competitors. It really is a new/different discipline, but add the discord banter between teammates and even team time trials in the mix and it really makes it difficult to rather race outside. All the dangers/nuisances of racing have been listed already. Also, the races are seldom longer than a hour. It seems more people prefer these shorter races. Especially as amateurs, you do not need 5 hour training rides to be competitive in zwift racing. I am really enjoying it.
  4. Pirelli P zero race TLR arrived. Waiting for the 85mm tubeless valves and tape to arrive from CRC next week. Will report back how the conversion went on my 60mm hoops…
  5. Interesting, no love for the scalpel?
  6. Exactly the same happened to me. Wife got the re seeding message after a few hours
  7. Seems they are strict wrt racing licence this year. Managed to ride VA for the last 2 years. This year i was seeded in B. Reseeded to A batch.
  8. Thanks, I am a fan of enduro seal in my mtb wheels. Will try it in the road wheels! Lastly, can I use my normal valve extenders on short tubeless valves? Currently have the ones that screws on where the valve core is situated.
  9. Thanks for the replies. I think I will give it a go. Next questions: 1. orange seal still the preferred sealant for tubeless setup? 2. Rim tape preference - Stans? 3. Tires I am leaning towards gp5000 TL. My only concern is that even the clincher tires (gp5000) are a tight fit on my carbon rims, hopefully I will get the tubeless ones fitted😬
  10. Bump As above. I am on the fence about converting my tube road setup (60mm clinchers) to tubeless… is it worth it? can any carbon rim be converted to tubeless using rim tape, valve and sealant with tl tires? Are there any benefits in rolling resistance and comfort? I currently ride at 7 bar tubed to prevent snake bites with the carbon rims.
  11. Trail networks… Okes complaining with the bread under both arms. Try mtbing in Secunda…Corrugated dirt roads and headwinds, as technical as it gets😜😢
  12. 66 km to go. 2 guys in the break with 5 min gap on large chasing pack. Beers and Pritzen in that chasing pack if I am not mistaken.
  13. I read that if only an inverter and battery is installed (no panels), there is a loss in efficiency when charging the batteries with eskom power. So I can expect to actually pay more per month for my eskom usage? Can anyone please confirm this with some real life measurements?
  14. These deals seems very very cheap. I was charged around R72k just for a 8kva inverter and 5kw battery and installation. 5 kva inverter and battery combo around R62k. (Sunsynk inverter and bluenova battery). No panels included. As mentioned, double check the quote for components used and check the fine print of what is included.
  15. So I am in the 5kva vs 8 kva inverter conundrum. We do not run any ac or heavy duty equipment. Use around 600 units per month. Ideally future proof with 8 kva inverter, but with current funds I would not be able to buy the panels now. With a 5 kva inverter I can add some panels immediately. Or should I rather save up/finance and get the 8 kva system with panels to start getting some roi.
  16. Would you mind please sharing the company details doing the financing? Or are you doing it through tour bank?
  17. All of the best! For interest, what turnaround time are you aiming for? I found that sometimes life gets in the way of a side business, which could affect how quickly you can attend to the bikes.
  18. Where was his team management? Surely in the same hotel and should be handling these situations on his behalf?
  19. That escalated quickly
  20. Was your rear wheel skewer tightened correctly? Happened to me before. Quick release not lekker and the rear wheel shifted under pressure. A hanger should not just break. Something caught the derailleur/chain causing force in the wrong direction for the hanger.
  21. Cable housing is way too short to the derailleur. Looks like it is pulling the derailleur backwards. Therefore looks like the b gap setting is also out. (Angle of the derailleur looks too far backward, chain not wrapping around the cassette) I would start by replacing the cable housing to he derailleur. then before attaching the cable to the derailleur, move it by hand to check that the stop limits are correct and covers the whole cassette. If stops are correct, attach cable and do indexing.
  22. Oh well, since it is Friday… I also do not understand the flack towards the OP. What if there are people that enjoys the competitive nature of cycling and spends time training to improve to chase some strava segment leaderboards? Not that difficult to change activity type to ebike to prevent messing up the leaderboards. Surely a place in the sun for all to enjoy riding their bikes? Strava subscription is much cheaper than race entry fees anyway…

    Vuelta 2022

Roglic lost more time today… Still part of the plan or does he not have the form? Remco in red…
  24. So will they give Nino the win where he finished behind Fluk, cannot remember which round. Therefore Nino passing Absalons record?
  25. Also wondering. Thus passing Absalons record?
