  1. Looking forward to your review of the bike Patrice!
  2. Ouch!
  3. I bought them from bikehubs campag man @JMK1
  4. Exactly. The last set op gp5000 tires I bought 2 years ago for R700 per tire. Bought Pirelli pzero TLR tires last month for R900 per tire. Not sure what these gp5000 are made of. anyway, prices are crazy
  5. So when are the prices coming down? Just saw conti gp5000 TL tires advertised for R2k per tire? 🤷🏼‍♂️
  6. Thank you! How does the air tank work when only inflating (not seating) tires? Still need to pressurise the larger chamber, or inflate directly? I read somewhere it takes alot more strokes 😬 to inflate a tire compared to normal gloor pumps?
  7. Thread revival… my floor pump gauge failed yesterday, so I am in the market for a new floor pump. How is the Ryder airtank 2 as an everyday pump, when not needing to seat tubeless tires?
  8. Do not measure wear including the powerlink
  9. Thanks! I was not even aware of the online racing pre covid! I have to say I still enjoy the online racing, but I have definitely learnt to not take it too seriously. The Wtrl series on zwift is mostly fair, I think. The suffering has improved my fitness on the real bike outdoors, so that still makes the online suffering worth it😁
  10. That is my only problem with zwift racing. Too many suspicious performances. Another thing, A batch riders sandbagging the B cat races. Even in WTRL B cat races. Okes smashing 14 w/kg sprints each of 6 laps and then sitting with a race average HR of 120 bpm🤷🏼‍♂️
  11. I doubt that any future performance by him will be trusted by anyone.
  12. Well done! You also attacked before one of the climbs. I was with you after the guy was shouting at the bike to get out of the way 🤣. I was in the proconics kit with Giant. yip, gap in the sprint bunch was not more than 5 seconds at that speed.
  13. How dit the final placements of the open A group work? Photo finish? I know the young lad with orange clothes got away as we exited kyalami and we did not see him again. On the timing results, there is almost a 30s difference between the guys in the bunch sprint for second, probably due to when exactly they went through the starting mats?
  14. Cool! That A bunch was hectic. Lekker.
  15. Also, interesting to see oaks taking selfies and videos while sitting in a bunch at 50 km/h…
  16. Well done! Then we were in the same bunch. Which kit were you in?
  17. Great event. Also not too impressed with the coke zero at the finish line. challenging route, that second half is brutal. Was flying till Kyalami in the massive A bunch (about 46 km/h average). Frustrating having to pass slower riders and bunches. Amazing to see all the wheel suckers in such a big bunch😂 Literally saw some guys in the bunch for the first time after 70km. Road surface was interesting, some rough patches and had to be awake the whole time (manholes etc), thankfully the tubeless setup made the experience much smoother than previously. overall a great hard day. Just neet to sort out my result, as I was reseeded and then they used the first batch starting my time.
  18. Haha yes apologies, topping them up with air, not sealant. They lose about 0.5 bar over 3 days.
  19. Some feedback. Done about 150km on the road since the conversion. Wheels seem to hold pressure very well. Slight top up required every 3 days. Running the 26mm pirellis at 5.2 Bar as per zipp website recommendation. The ride feels great though, compared to tubes at 7 Bar. Definitely less road vibration on the handles. It feels like the bike is floating better over rougher patches of tarmac. so far so good, very happy with the conversion.
  20. I am not licensed, but was seeded in VB (like the previous 3 years 947). At registration they said I am not allowed at VB this year and reseeded me to A batch. Then handed me the new numbers. I assume I need to mount my old number with the chip, as suppose to the the new plastic board without a chip?
  21. Friend went to collect my number. I was re seeded. Now my jersey number is different and they gave another frame number different to my chip number from last year. Which one do I mount on my bicycle? The new number does not have a chip in. Deurmekaar
  22. Thanks for this link!
  23. Hi Nick! Apart from the tape/hole difference, are there any structural differences between normal and tubeless ready rims? Or is it the difference in hook design? On a hooked rim, are the forces not similar when running tubes vs tubeless? I used a single layer of muc off tubeless tape. After the leak at the bead sealed, had a small leak at the valve. Tightening the valve more seemed to do the trick. Held pressure through the night. Will give feedback after the first ride, been raining…
  24. Sorry, duplicated posts. As on the road tubeless thread, leak at the beads were gone after I added sealant and spun wheels horizontally. All seems good now.
