We managed to keep the double paceline going untill the gg climbs started. Constant rolling through by all 12 members. It worked very well, provided all are on a similar fitness level.

Yip. Lessons learnt???? And no cramp block/rennies/anything helps if you still need to grind out the hills. Just pain awaits

Awesome time for a mixed team! The golden gate climb broke me and I cramped up. Not fun on a 39/25 after a hard first half effort. Just glad I did not get off and walked???? Limped home in 5h14. Will definitely be back with more miles in the legs.

It was my first Maluti double 90. Great event. Had a good day out, untill the climb. Hamstring crampfest from there. Will be back next year, with a semi compact crankset.

The fork is not backwards. If it was the brake calliper would be in the front. Some forks have the crown on the back... I think desposable income is definitely decreasing. I can only fund my cycling needs through “specials” nowadays.

When do late entries close for the full attakwas?

I entered but did not race due to some break in event at our home Thursday morning 02:00. That said, I am struggling to find value in that entry fee... How was the organization and traffic management during the event this year?

So I will start to get paperwork in order like qualifications, birth certificates etc. How hard is the day to day transition to NZ? How is the support structure that side for parents with small children? Are the locals/fellow safas acommodating to foreigners and willing to make new friends? How easy is it to buld up a support system there?

Hi Zatec! I did not know you were also looking at moving? I am contemplating as well. The major drawback at this stage is my two girls aged 4 and 5 months that would not see their grandparents etc often anymore. I would however move for their future... The fact that last night we had our second burglary in secunda within a year Does not sit well with me. They stole my road and mtb and luckily with the help of neighborhood watch and security we were able to recover the bicycles. I just keep thinking what if they entered the house? Will they come back? Fckrs.

I am not sure about the results, but i agree. It was a fast, tough race.

It should be a good one! Start in middelburg, pass loskop to groblersdal and the back halfway to loskop.

Great to be back on the road bike! Great race in BL, but I was surprized at the size of the bunch intill hekpoort...Parking was a ballsup. Also waited an hour to get out of the venue due to the security card forcing each car to swith off their engine and restart...Good day out????????
