  1. I recently replaced my gx eagle chain. I suspect my gx eagle cassette has around 3000km on. I noticed after fitting the new chain that one or 2 of the smaller gears now tend to “slip” under hard loads. Time to replace the casette?
  2. Agreed. I also prefer the climb in the beginning of the race. Smaller groups are safer on the narrow roads. Our only traffic jam was after we turned left towards magalies park (after crossing the dam). There were cars stuck behind the ladies bunch, so we had to weave past the cars and oncoming traffic to pass the ladies.
  3. Well done! I forgot how much harder it is in a break! I must say, my legs were shattered when I had to get going after fixing my flat after 85km in the break. So that is 3 hubbers so far in the AL break????????????. Again well done Timo!
  4. Thanks. Well done, super effort!
  5. As shaper said, heading towards the r24 the roadworks started
  6. Agreed. Marshalls were great, especially at the road works sections. Communications were good before the race. I am just a bit sour due to my puncture. ???? I still enjoyed the sufferfest????
  7. Hard day out in AL break. Punctured at one of the roadworks sections and had to solo home. Road surface was terrible. Traffic on route was terrible. Less participants than previous years from my perspective. Kudos to the guy in the AL break on his momsen mtb with nobblies. 39k/h average on that thing. I was stumped. He should win the event on a road bike.
  8. Ill be there tomorrow????????
  9. Great to hear about the weather, sounds good???? How is the nz cycling scene with regards to races and clubs? Are there many local races with active clubs? Road and mtb riding?
  10. I am selling a Lavazza AModo Mio coffee machine that uses capsules if someone is interested. R800. It is listed in the classifieds section.
  11. I bought one a few months ago. The Bialetti Moka express 6 cup. I use it often (daily) and I like the coffee it produces. There was a bit of a learning curve for me though.
  12. For the 10-51 you will need a new rear freehub with the microspline setup of the casette. Alternatively you can use the aftermarket 11-50 casettes that will fit on the standard shimano freehub. Not sure about the pitch story. Many went form 2x10 or 2x11 to 1x systems without any issues with chain pitch. The issue might be that the 12 speed chain is too narrow for the 11 speed front chainrings.
  13. So as I understand it, there will be only 1 workers visa replacing the current ones? Are there any changes to the skilled migrant residency visa system where the eoi is submitted? That was our initial plan to obtain residency as we qualify for more than 180 points if you have a job in nz
  14. Since my chinese ec90 bars cracked I have not bought anything again
  15. Jacques Janse van Rensburg?
  16. Thanks, just wondered as his name is not mentioned in the article posted today regarding the NTT renewals.
  17. So where is Meintjes going next year?
  18. Agreed. I did this, but signage after tant miems downhill is not great. I got lost a bit and had to take the district roads and tar back to van gaalens. Used the elemnt bolt navigation to get back????
  19. Be very careful with the ec90’s...Mine lasted a whole 3 weeks. Cracked on right hand side. No crashes or hard impacts.
  20. Doing base training for the 2020 Argus?????
  21. Agreed. A very nice surprise there????????
  22. That is the question
  23. That gold/orange will look good on my black/orange anthem...
  24. Thanks I will ask them. It was on their add where I saw the cassette. It does look good. Also, at R3k and lighter than a xx1 cassette...
