  1. The outdated comment is due to the relatively short reach of the bike. The other numbers are bang up to date.
  2. The bike feels short. I would say >1.86m should go for XL. Obviously depends on preferred bike feel.
  3. Amped on crushing some babyheads!
  4. Well done Sam. He had Nino beaten the whole day IMO. His overtake on the last lap was pure power. Nino wouldnt have caught him even if he stayed clipped.
  5. Thanks for the response guys! I should probably start with a book and a workbench. I live in a flat so I will need to do the majority of my sawing at the timber shop unfortunately.
  6. Hi everyone. I would like to start making some simple wooden furniture. To get things started I obviously need a drill. Can someone please share their wisdom on what tools I should buy to get started?
  7. According to my knee and elbow Mountain King is junk
  8. I did the short route and loved it. Awesome event. Thank you to all the organizers and sponsors.
  9. I also had the pleasure to partake in the Ezelenduro. The thing that makes the race tough is the endurance aspect. All the features of all the stages are manageable by a competent rider, the thing about the race is you are faced with these obstacles for at times, 10 minutes non-stop. They also sneak in little uphill sections into the stages which absolutely kills you. I walked up the majority. This race is absolutely brutal on your bike and you fall onto huge rocks if you crash. It's for guys and girls that know what they are doing.
  10. you should buy one
  11. At 60kg you can drop .3 bar front and rear and get away with it.
  12. Indola pants look like they belong in Kaap Agri.Cape Storm and First Ascent don't have the right image. POC is overpriced considering they don't include a Bib. The only viable option I can find sofar is the Royal stuff and the Specialized stuff.
  13. Hi Enduro bro's. Wat are the baggy options which are available locally for #enduro? I can't seem to find Troy Lee in RSA. And the Fox Ranger short is boring. What are the other options!? And where do I find them?
  14. Race Face Ambush is a great option. Bit bulky maybe but they are awesome.
  15. The YT has a small feel to it. If you are around my lenght I would look at the XL (body proportions obviously also factor). I have noticed that due to the slack head angle when I raise my bar the reach drops alot. Or I have a vivid imagination
  16. I am 1.86m and have a large. I would prefer an XL. The bike is very good for jumping and very manouverable. Climbing is not that great. It bobs alot (i have the base model without lockout).I think it suits "good" riders more than the average joe. It's a great bike but it needs to be ridden hard. Won't recommend it for the average 40km Tygerberg Trail loop rider.
  17. The trick is to run Mavic rims. Then you don't break your rims. Jokes aside, a smaller volume tire is more progressive (like your Pike after your bottomless tokens) . So its better if you ride hard
  18. short = low profile (soos op jou GTI)
  19. Have to admit it is a big generalization. However, in my experience I have never perceived a benefit from a higher sidewall. I would rather have a "shorter" tire at my desired pressure which is more stable on the rim and would generally be lighter.
  20. Can someone please explain this volume obsession? Higher (not wider) sidewalls are stupid. Option 1: less than 1.5 bar pressure - squirms Option 2: more than 1.5 bar - no benefit from larger volume
  21. I love light tyres. It really makes a massive difference. I have the cheapest Jeffsy without lockout and TBH it pedals K@K. So very hesitant to go too heavy in the tyres.
  22. Don't you find the Minion DHF DD as too heavy for a bike you pedal uphill? I actually have a brand new one I bought by mistake(wanted EXO) but geez 1146g is DH territory.
  23. I find the Onza Ibex a stupid tyre. Very pressure sensitive. Have a nice open knee and elbow from a hardpack slipout. I going stick a Minnion DHF upfront with a Ikon or Adent Race rear #enduro.
