  1. On my current bike I have NX 12 speed, and on my previous bike SLX 11-46. So I have done a few thousand km on both those groupsets. Short answer. Between those two I would go SLX. SRAM benefits gear jumps (spacing) are great on the cassettewhen everything works the gears shift action feels very nice, snappygreat shifter ergonomicsexcellent chain retention (when new) Shimano benefits set and forget!durablecompact derailleur (less impacts)cheapMUCH lighter SRAM NX is too heavy and feels cheap.
  2. I love Spaz riding gear but there is no chance in hell I would spend that on shorts. Even if I was filthy rich.
  3. I have the Flow MK3 on Hope from CWC. Awesome bombproof wheelset. Heavy. And the spokes are bloudraad. Will buy again considering the price.
  4. I might be keen to buy the Orange if the price is right. Frame or complete
  5. Look at the wheel as a whole. Strong rims and spokes? Then go 28 hole. 28 hole wheels have more flex which might be nice on a hardtail. I also never break spokes on the front wheel. My next wheelset will be 28 hole front, 32 hole rear. With double butted spokes.
  6. Thats a crap frame and you won't enjoy it. I will buy it from you.
  7. Specialized has a 2 year warranty from original purchase date for subsequent owners.
  8. You need a new frame. If you bought it new you should have a warranty. Talk to a Scott dealer. You can't weld aluminium without heat treating it afterwards. Which no one does.
  9. Buying a new rim is cheaper than going insane.
  10. I get numb feet with my 5ten Impact VXi Pro. On the same trail I don't get numb feet when using my 2fo clips. My 2c: its all about sole stiffness.
  11. Rather go for the Maxxis Ardenf Race. The Crossmark is outdated and offers no benefit over an Ardent Race.
  12. As soon as I get lucky in the Lotto I am buying the green one.
  13. Does anyone have any info on the opening of accommodation as mentioned in Cyril's speech? Can we start booking chalets in nature reserves?
  14. Make double sure you are turning the right way! Use a spanner rather than an allen key. Use copper pipe for leverage. Alternatively shock also loosens almost anything. In other words use a hammer.
  15. I am guessing that the R50k discount on 2020 models is preferred ????
  16. Local dealer support is highly underrated in bike purchasing. Although as far as I know YT typically does not have any proprietary parts. Standard bearings sizes etc.
  17. My 2c: I had a 2016 Specialized Camber (120mm/120mm 29er). I bought a 140mm Fox 34, amazing fork, ruined the bikes handling, LOL. I couldn't get the fork to work with the rear shock - keep in mind I am a noob. Got a 120mm air-spring for the Fox 34 and then it was absolutely amazing. Less is more sometimes. PS: I had a Jeffys and think 150mm would work fine, I think 140mm would be better though as my Jeffsy felt like it collapsed into the rear travel when climbing. My bike was slightly too small for me though.
  18. Thanks Naas. I don't want an Oval ring. Do you guys have the Wolftooth?
  19. Hi All I want to get a Shimano 12 speed kit. I currently have a SRAM Eagle setup. I have heard that my current crankset and chainring (NX Eagle DUB) are not compatible with the Shimano 12-speed chain. I am not in the mood to buy a new crankset. What chainring options do I have that fit SRAM Direct Mount (DM) and are designed to work with the Shimnao HG+ 12 speed chain? I have only found a Wolftooth option (R1500 as per the Wolftooth website) and it is only listed on their website. I have not found one at our local online shops. TIA
  20. You need DH brakes. You are too chunky for 2 piston brakes. Wait for the Shimano Zee from CWC and get 2 x 200mm ICE TECH rotors. The Zee are awesome
  21. You either have a manufacturing error or something is abrading your chain. Check every tooth on your cassette and chainring for sharp edges.
  22. Now there is no excuse to fit SRAM NX or SX to any bike, ever. Such a pity SRAM has the OEM market cornered, their budget components are terrible.
  23. Email Specialized RSA. Their contact details are on the website. They respond promptly and are helpful.
  24. Go for it! I have made one before. You only need a jigsaw, a sheet of plywood and a single plank. And obviously drill and fasteners. I made one with a 6ft radius which was too steep. I suggest a 8-9ft curve radius. Making it folding will be more tricky.
