  1. So who was it who called it? TDD goes Team NTT in 2020. https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/racing/tour-de-france/dimension-data-rebrand-team-ntt-2020-431505
  2. Nice! That should be amazing. I wanted to do the same thing here but then realised that alot of the fitters hav biomechanics degrees or Kenetics / physio backgrounds and I did sociology. One thing that would drive me mental would be that plug socket. Who puts your plug socket half way up a wall!
  3. Loved following the progress and the story. Been rooting for you and your adventure because i've ridden in the area before and loved it. So as soon as you've worked out your plan and the way forward I'll be front and centre to see what you're offering and how I can get a bit of it! Good luck and if you need any brand development, online marketing, social media campaigns and online development / advice then just drop me a PM.
  4. I know it's a bit of a TDD joke, that they are the team that pro's go to live out the final years, but wouldn't a cheeky offer to Kittel be worth it. Okay, so there are alot off the bikes issues that he seems to come with but remember TDD got Cummings and what he needed and that paid off big time for them. Plus his worth must be so rock bottom that you could take a gamble and load it with bonuses. Imagine th coverage if he comes back to win a few stage at a GT? The fairy tale story inside the Cinderella team. Column inches and podcast special right there. Maybe the kitten needs some space and understanding to get him back to speed and it was a hell of a speed when he was flying. They have the elements of a train place for with Cav', space for a key road captain / leadout man (who ever kitten feels solid with) as BernieE and Renshaw are off the books and they have the understanding in the team of what's needed for a sprinter to win. Also he's got a kid on the way and you could play on the heartstrings with the 'kids on bikes' angle / you'd be doings much more than greasing the old cycling world wheels etc. Plus DylanG has made it pretty clear in his comments that if the hair were to come to Jumbo then it would be firmly as the second sprinter and that isn't going to build anyones confidence, especially someone who was the best in the word and is coming back from 'personal issues'.
  5. You probably want to ask Sagan for a refund for lost stages at the 2017 tour then.
  6. Is there a BMX category?
  7. They do but the Stanton one has been about since 2012 in various guises I think and the Pyga is a carbon dualie. I think there is another manufacture that has a Slackline dual sus' as well can't remember who, possibly one of the eastern european ones.
  8. Wanted a Ti but with these on sale it was too hard to resist.
  9. I wouldn't think that PhilGil would be looking father than the key classics euro teams. After the main interviews that PatrickL gave earlier in the year I would have thought that a new contract would be a given but then that man has a history of letting champion riders go and still keep the team winning and winning and winning.
  10. At 20% off and 853 why wouldn't you!
  11. At least he's winning stuff in the twilight of his career. At TDD your twilight can start at 24.
  12. Thanks, I was referring to the behind the scenes section process for this years Tour squad.
  13. Wonder if we'll get a similar podcast from the guys at TDD. Would be classic but I fear it might be just an hour of people scratching their heads then the sound of a coin flipping. http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/how-ef-education-first-selected-their-tour-de-france-team-podcast/
  14. Just wondering what your assessment of TDD is at the moment (LM issues, signing the Amstel podium and then all under performing to the point of complete anonymity as well as the lack of even getting into breakaways) and Cav' in particular. Do you think he can make a come back next year and where might that be as I'd guess TDD will not renew his contract past this year and the last 12 months haven't shined up the CV for a new team.
  15. Yeah Stevo seems an odd choice but he did place 3rd at the british TT champs so might be hitting some form. There has to be a reason more than the nostalgic as it's likely to be his last Tour. If you were thinking that way you'd saddle up the old guard and throw in cav' and co to produce a fairy tale. Who knows with TDD It does all seem a bit ad hoc this year.
  16. Well that squad does have 4 Grand Tour stage winners and a Giro points jersey winner in it so let's hope it all comes together.
  17. Prolly EBH for the breakaway / tougher sprint stages as he's not going to compete with the real fast men. Then King and RomanK for mountain stages and hopefully try to get some top 15ish GC action (that no one will ever remember).
  18. A big call to make. Well at least they have their roster and Cummings gets to ride his final tour.
  19. I see ex TDD rider Natnael Berhane just wrapped up the Eritrea Road Champs as well.
  20. To be honest that Banshee is the best value bike about in the ads at the moment. If you could have a haggle and meet closer to your number then you'd have a ride that has great parts (very nice Zee brakes, 30mm rims, 170mm 1x drive chain and those Mattoc forks are really, really good) and a killer frame with good geo. Might need to factor in a dropper though. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/367206-perfect-canadian-enduro-ripping-beast/ I've had one before and it's a really good all rounder which really shines on the downs. You can take it for longer days out as well as easily take on the steeper stuff and all with a big smile on your face. It does look a bit agricultural in those shots, not sure why as they are a lot more good looking in the flesh. What I liked about the frame was a great suspension design, fun handling, brilliant descending, that you can alter the Geo to slack it out if you wanted and that it was an alu frame that was designed as such and not just a carbon model that they'd knocked out a cheaper metal version for more sales. They only design and build alu frames. Looking about there isn't much in your size / price in the ads at the moment. There is a poorly spec'd Trance that will be found out quickly, a bottom of the range Fuel EX that has low rent components and fork, that Slider is good but that may need a frork and rear can service and could do with an upgrade or two in the near future (add a dropper, wider wheels, brakes, check wear on chain cassette etc maybe beef up the fork in a bit with a pike or mattoc) which will cost alot more. I know it's a bit of 'I came here with a R15k budget and everyone else is showing me R20k bikes but the difference between a R15k and a R20k bike can be massive and really it can save you more money in the long run as often a R15k bike will need upgrades and replacement cassettes / chain / tyres / bearing service / shock service (front and back can easily cost you R2k+) etc and that needs to be factored in. I honestly don't know the seller and I'm not blowing smoke up his pipes but it seems he knows his stuff from the build, the fact he's serviced the fork, rear can and bearings and is throwing in some (good) extras.
  21. I'd be tempted to put a lot into EBH for this tour. He seems to have some good form and has won stages before. I just don't think Nizzolo can win at the tour with the depth of pure sprinters who are going. He's never won a WT stage although he has given TDD a win this year which have been few and far between. EBH can mix it up with a variety of finishes and that should give more opportunities this edition.
  22. Ho-lee-sheet. That must have been incredible. Their 'party stripper' looks a great short travel option. Actually they all look like a great option. They all look great.
  23. This thing keeps calling my name and begging to go to an enduro.
  24. Drooooooooooool.
