  1. My wife does it every year, and its practically the only time she gets on a bike, so it cant be tough at all..
  2. Yeah there's a race coming up at Sondela this weekend not so? I also did the Sondela MTB event about two weekends ago and that singletrack makes you feel like you are on a superbike, delicious!
  3. Exactly what worked for me - got a Silverback saddle (R150) from cycle store that had taken it off for a fussy customer and now it has done several crater cruisers etc...love it
  4. One of the prettiest races you will ever do, also one section of about 2km with the thickest sand you will ever ride/walk I am gonna miss it on my calendar, now that its gone epic...
  5. Wow those pics of the orca are awesome!
  6. Don't forget the cold front hitting us on saturday, I may be jealous of you in whatever nice warm spot you will be working in lol
  7. JA man, that is dope!
  8. Seriously, a sachet called "Blood Cleanser" in the goody bag for this weekend's Sondela race?? lol I have never laughed so hard in my laugh...wonder how it'll fare as a chain lube?
  9. Yeah when I went past it was a white lion and she wasn't as hungry as this one
  10. I hate to say it, cos I did not see HOW you could ride it, but the leaders in the ultra came past me riding the rockiest ascent on the route like they were just having a quick training session, heck they even go around walkers who dont hear them coming... unbelievable
  11. and we almost got flattened by a herd of zebra and we saw hippo and a white lion
  12. Great looking jobby that one!
  13. I will give your number through to a chappy that wont make it to the 75k, if its still available he'll call you
  14. my powerbalance band from this week's goodiebag does not match the one from last week's goodiebag, now i dunno which one to leave off for mabalingwe. i think the course goes anti-clockwise and the lions are on the left so I should be going with the see-through band on the right wrist, yes?
  15. Now THATS what I'm talking about!
  16. I saw you finishing a lil while after me, how'd you get your name on your numberplate huh?
  17. Man I feel your pain and frustration - all the best with your recovery majestic! I have also been unable to train over past six weeks, but I refuse to NOT do the clarens marathon on saturday, even if I walk most of it with my hurt leg.

    Silverback Range

Have Silverback carbon hardtail, great bike. They flew it down to CT and repaired the frame when I broke the cable clips. And it came with full XTR groupset... what more can you ask for?
  19. They do, simple maths: family of three, thus R5 400 times three beats R9 000, and that's before looking at partner discounts from Garmin, Kalahari.net, Canon, NuMetro etc (since you decided to go there). But we digress, this thread is actually about Virgin's fees...
  20. VItality only compares favourably if you disregard the R5 400 in HealthReturns per person a year out that you can earn from Momentum. Are you perhaps a discovery broker?
  21. What about the HealthReturns you earn? If you have Multiply membership and belong to an appropriate gym through Multiply, your HealthReturns will be calculated on the highest of the available results: lol okay so I cant make the table work but its as much as R450 a month... Just type in www.momentum.co.za/health and click on anything that says healthreturns...
  22. You are doing it wrong. With Momentum Health and Multiply, in addition to the money saved on your gym fee, you earn R5 400 a year... dont see Discovery getting anywhere close to that?
  23. Dont like Giant but THIS is nice...
  24. I'd rather be on this: http://www.treadmag.co.za/News/DisplayNewsItem.aspx?niid=11374
  25. Probably the biggest TV disaster of the year, how can they suck so much at it? Embarrassed is the right word
