  1. Ja, the Leader of the Pack tuned me "Skattebol, kom hie dan wys ek djou HOE om te trap nĂȘ..." It gave me a grin for the next 5kms
  2. I was also saving myself for that last 6 km bit and then...it ended! lol But all in all it was a very lekker ride!
  3. NOW you have gone too far...NOBODY touches my 32GI!
  4. I find creaking seat is THE easiest annoyance to fix on a bike - in my case (on two bikes) its just dust getting into tight spots, so I just loosen the bracket move the stem up and down, refasten and bob's your uncle! I think it must be one of the most irritating noises on a bike if you cant get it to stop tho...
  5. What a sleek saddle...
  6. So if you believe the hub today, bananas kill and 32GI turns agents into hot air balloons...
  7. That's the thing isn't it...took up cycling, found it came with loads of alone time. Then the wife took up cycling, which isn't a bad thing but... I hope they invent something like stickbooking or whatever to distract her so I can exclusively claim cycling back for me
  8. Dude, does she have a sister??
  9. Okay, so I am not the only one who prefers my R4000 Trek 3700 over my R20k carbon...
  10. Ironically, the two races listed above are my favourites for the year (Lion and Lost City) and I did everything, including Sabie, Barberton, Legend etc. What I will admit to is that I felt like I was putting the safety of youngsters doing the 25km at risk while I flew past them, wanting to finish the 50 in a record personal time. We cant have that - we really do need to separate the racers and the fun riders for safety's sake.
  11. hehee...can you say skating on thin ice!
  12. White rims never look bad, I love them on any bike! As for cleaning them - one pump with the cleen green gun, one shot with the hose pipe, and bobs your uncle!
  13. Hell no, I want my goodie bag!
  14. Nah, impress me and talk about right after the race...
  15. DId it perhaps happen to cyclists passing BY Groenies on their way to Fountains? Surely this did not happen INSIDE our sacred place??
  16. Hope the poor new bike survived unscathed?
  17. You sound like me...within half a second of hitting the ground, we are going OMG the bike! hope she's fine!
  18. Shame man...you almost make us fele guilty! lol (ALso did Babbas on Sunday to prevent stiffness from saturday's ride Mr De Jongh, its the perfect post-race race)
  19. When you stand up to try and power up an incline, and the chain comes off, so do you, and not in a pretty way either! But maybe if I hear how YOU came down to earth this weekend and in which event, my own eina will hurt less... Mine was at 9km into Legend Gorge in Limpopo on Saturday btw...
  20. I have been using hanging rack with carbon frame, no problem (there is a thread here that explains why). One thing to watch out for: the cable holder/ bracket is vulnerable, especially when you place your bike on and take it off the Thule. A chain protector would also be advisable. ENjoy!
  21. How unreal is this price?! Their stock has probably run out already.... (Have used that mercury for a weekend, good bike)
  22. F*k eina....mammie!
  23. These toys must be cr*p ugly, otherwise one of 'em woulda been posted in high res by now *grin*
  24. Damn, what a comprehensive answer...that's why I love the hub
  25. Looks good in white, weighs 13.4 tho... Would you not fit on this specialized rockhopper offered for sale for roughly same price on the hub this morning (its a medium)? Its new, was apparently used in photoshoot...
