  1. for me, it’s R1100 every two year, so R45/month. Negligible amount.
  2. Every year, I wish for no crashes in the Tour, and that the best rider wins. Seems this needs to be extended to the whole season.
  3. Hump-day humour 😂
  4. 💯 July 2018 (post Tour) was when I ditched their service. It was R969/month at the time. Current spend on streaming is R270/month (two providers), so savings is R750/month (rounded) or R54k by July this year. Also no going back for me.
  5. Have been riding on IndieVelo for a while now, using MacOS. Suits my needs for an easy group ride of up to 90-mins.
  6. Compared to Rob Hatch.

For the Lego/cycling fans; blue shorts and all
  8. The final 20km of the Amstel Gold 2019, from Sporza. A few things that stood out: Disk brakes weren’t fully adopted in the peloton The aero tuck was not yet banned
  9. I saw a video (FB or Instagram) on the weekend that showed his power in that race. I will need to find it, as it was quite interesting. The final 10km was higher than the rest of the race. His durability is outstanding.
  10. It’s perhaps the only way to sustain road events going forward. Less inconvenience to other road users, less logistics required.
  11. Given that the women’s event is not that old, would be interested to know how often both world champions have won the same event.
  12. Yeah, the list doesn’t even show those with 1 Monument. I hadn’t realised WvA had 9 stage wins at the Tour until I checked PCS.
  13. Most Monument wins (green being the most per event). These two (MvdP and Pog) have time and potential get to 10 each.
  14. Same as last year… 1-2, and the same two riders.
  15. 47.8km/h average
  16. Thread revival time… as this popped up on my FB feed. Different colours of black kit: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/wTC5wn4R7vuR5YFF/?mibextid=0VwfS7
  17. Had 13 hours to kill while restricted to an aisle seat, so managed to watch 7 of the 8 episodes, in between reading and some power naps. Touches a few good moral points in life, eg. most Dads would want to protect their daughter(s) from life changing events, i.e. early pregnancy and/or a car wreck. And then careers over family life.
  18. Edit: above… see if you can spot the pavement under the weeds
  19. Chasing the sun… home
  20. Given that one pedals the majority of the time when on a trainer, compared to riding outside (more variable), who actually takes time off on a longer endurance ride? Even just to stretch the legs, go for a pee, etc.? It happens outside, so why should it be any different indoors? Rhetorical question.
  21. Do your intervals sessions (if you do these) on the trainer and then invest in some good quality gear to withstand the elements outside. Using the Robo Pacer (Zwift) or the Pace Partner (indieVelo) helps, as well we riding with ERG mode off, helps pass the time without any interruptions.
  22. Carbon neutral lawnmower used on the most famous cobbles of PR. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5QSFKus0dE/?igsh=ZDVkc2p3aG90YXZh
