Hard luck on the actual incident. Never nice to read about it, let alone see it happen. Motivation and expectation can be interlinked to some extent. Expectations can influence motivation by shaping what one perceives as achievable or a desirable outcome. So you may need to lower your expectations (fitness level, duration, and effort levels) so it feels more motivating to achieve but not too low that it feels like a waste of time and motivation disappears. Talking to others helps too, so it’s great you’re reaching out. find your fun, and have fun.

I know a guy that logged some high speed train trips, in China, using his Apple Watch. 100 points for “speed data only” workouts, which I think needs to be >18km/h for 30+ minutes. The other three workouts are genuine activities, so if it ever gets questions, it’s above board. Just saying that the speed data only is a farce. Tuesday afternoon’s “e-bike ride”. And yes, I believe it’s been deleted from Strava. 😂😂

I have two brothers in the UK, but I am sorted for now without having go the Discovery+ route. If I struggle with the TdF, I know there’s an another alternative.

They show all rugby as well as other sports, TV and movies. If they can offer it, surely the local monopoly can/could do the same.
