  1. A truly remarkable and historical moment for SA sport. Type in Robbie Hunter or team barloworld and search news on google its headlines everywhere. I was fortunate enough to watch the last 20km's and I didn't sit for the final 3 plus km's. I really thought that he lost it on the bend and then again when he broke to early, but the picture when he crossed the line was nothing compared to what went on in the TV lounge here in Franschhoek. Well done Robbie and also to the Team a great effort. Man dis lekker.
  2. Is Ryan not going to have surgery......
  3. If he lives in Bakoven he probably needs the cash badly. Maybe pay towards the monthly mortgage. People like this shouldn't be cycling. This guy needs a RFS.
  4. Large numbers of DNF's are common in the many of the classic style races. The bunches that are way behind normally stop racing when they hit the 'finish' town. Possibly reason for Ryan's DNF. He also played domestique yesterday.
  5. Don't think Hunter will be riding Sunday. He is listed as a sub on the Liege web site. He is currently doing the Dolomite stage race in Italy. Giro del Trentino. JL is wearing the youth jersey
  6. Yes, very sad way to spend a sunday night.
  7. Eish these guys are getting wasted tonight....
  8. Yeah.. Probably a bridge to far for the Tigers. Irish keeper cheeky bugger
  9. That was a bit Irish.... but don't you get the feeling that this might not yet be over
  10. Cause their kits green
  11. Now everyone's sh*tting themselves. Ok Ireland are now officially kicking ass. Time for a wee dram....
  12. I think they register, read the Kremetart thread and get scared........
  13. Now that I've hijacked the thread.... I have never felt comfortable on this stretch of road especially at the Woodstock on-ramp. There are many cyclists that ride solo on this route, including me. Its difficult enough to concentrate on the traffic. Thanks for the warning.
  14. Hi Pedal have a road bike, kit and spares that the missus has earmarked as excess....... Can you please PM me so I can live happily again. Tx

    Numb feet

Thank god no numb nuts. Went to the specialist and had xray as the numbness persisted. Last year in March I had a bad fall and broke two metatarsals in my right foot (amongst ribs and clavicles etc). Say no more. Their advice is exactly the same as yours SwissVan. So guess I'm off to the podiatrist. Tx
  16. Have to agree

    Numb feet

Tx Jason. Good one Dr M. Thought maybe it was the wifes knickers but I didn't pack them for the trip. Keep up with the good advice.

    Numb feet

Is it the shoes, is it the socks, is it the seat height? I suffered badly on the epic from bad blood circulation in my toes. Bad pins and needles after about two hours of riding from day three on. Changed the shoes on day five and the same numbness was there after a few hours of riding. Frustrating. This morning when I put my work shoes on the numbness returned. Even now my toes have that dead arm feeling.. Any suggestions.
  19. Agreed. Thats why we just practising tonight.

  21. Where's my rizzla roller
  22. Whats happening on the hub..... Okes selling his missus. Straight tests. Must be the Guiness.. Happy St Patricks Day to all the Hubbers. JimmyB is 64% straight.
  23. What do they mean by dangerous. Both forms of the sport have there an element of danger and these demand respect from the jockey. Its all about choice. On the MTB you can choose the routes that fit your skills. You can choose to walk down that technical bit but yes YOU are going to fall until you master the mountain. On the road you can ride as safely as you possibly can, but you cant choose what the man in the car is going to do. So yes I ride both bikes every weekend. So yes I fall more often on the MTB. But I fall, I don't get knocked over. So is the one more dangerous than the other...... Eish. I know where I have more fun. The hills are alive........
  24. Napalm you are more than probably accurate with that but this is exactly the problem in SA. Its inherent in all communication in all sport. Always someone taking over a problem created by someone else. Just fix the damn thing and lets go forward. I empathise with Carinus Lemmer, he has a big task ahead. I'm sure that when we tell the rest of the cycling world our problems they will understand...... I don't think so. At least for a change they are worried about politics
