  1. Think u handled it well, no point putting your life in danger for someone else's property.
  2. What ever caused the accident, the fact still remains that the fortuner rolls easier than other cars. Possible another make of SUV would not have rolled. It is really sad and I feel for the daughter.
  3. Also got caught in traffic, not too bad though. Was supposed to start in P, but only started in R. The have my start group and my friends correct on racetec.
  4. Sorry to hear about this, hope you find your bike!!!
  5. Green Day - 21 Guns Chris Daughtry - No surprise. Can't choose between them, LOVE them both.
  6. The nice thing about Hill Crest is that it isn't too technical a route for the newbies, but still fun for the more experienced cyclists as you can just ride it at pace and it so smooth and flowing.

    CRC Order

Mighty Spoke, the slips don't always come, in fact with my post office, it is a rare thing. Most of the time they want a tracking number or at least a time frame unless it is a very small post office. My order was dispatched yesterday so we will see how long it takes! Its like waiting for a Xmas present.
  8. typical, all the pics of the guys are from the front, and the pic of the ladies is from behind!!!
  9. Why don't we just have seperate section under the classifieds for non-cycling related goods. That way they don't get mixed up in the cycling goods.
  10. Maybe there is something wrong with the laptop itself that is has crashed twice in 6 months? My work laptop has been running now for 2 years without crashing and i have loads of applications installed.
  11. It is rather expensive, but then there are suckers like me who need it for the Argus seeding. I don't want to be starting after 9am and therefore have paid the R160 to enter.
  12. My babyis an outdoor type so she slepes in the garage. She gets way too dirty to go into the house. My road bike does moan a bit that she gets cold and dusty in there, but I need her to keep my baby company.
  13. Well done Specialized !!! And Jayz, please stop with the all caps, it makes reading your post difficult.
  14. Any one know what the duty would be on a bicycle trailer for a kid? Its not a bicycle, could it be seen as a part?
  15. I like watching the World cup events as they always show the women (although have the time they are walking the technical sections) but agree, on shows like supercycling you hardly see anything about the women.
  16. You can also get pedals that you can clip in on one side, but its like a normal pedal on the other side. 2 of my friends have this and its given them a lot more confidence. When riding on the jeep track they are clipped in, but if they are riding some technical sections they can use the normal pedal. Riding with cleats when you are a beginner can seriously damage your confidence. you need to learn how to handle a bike first. When I first started riding with cleats I had "cheapy" ones and the moment they got any dirt or mud stuck in them I couldn't unclip and it made me really nervous to even attempt anything technical. once I upgraded however it was a different story and slowly but surely built my confidence up again.
  17. Dirtbreath, just went to CRC's website, its awesome. There prices are really good even when converted into rands. The is a guy in SA who sells the Burley, but for quite a bit more. Is it safe to order from CRC? i.e Do the good normally arrive?
  18. Thanks for the answers guys! I'm not super fit at the moment so I might struggle in the beginning, but I should get fit pretty quickly :-) My question about riding with a full suspension is more cause I'm worried about the bike. I've heard that you shouldn't use a seat on a full sus, but figure that the trailer won't be bearing the weight over the back wheel.
  19. Every weekend I have to choose between spending time with my 15 month old son, or riding my baby (stumpie) on some sweet singletrack and it drives me insane. I want to combine the two so I no longer have to choose and have the following questions. 1. What bicycle trailer is the best to buy 2. Are there any websites? (Besides sites like Wantitall) 3. Can I use a bicycle trailer on a full suspension? 4. How easy is it to ride up little hills with? Basically, the plan is to do easy jeep track rides I won't take it on the road at all for obvious reasons. Any advise is welcome!!!
  20. I also LOVE my stumpie. Such an awesome bike to ride!
  21. Well done Burry!!! To beat Absolon is quite an achievment, that guys is a machine. I can't wait to watch this one on TV
  22. Well done Burry!!!
  23. I really enjoyed Boyes Drive, although it would have been a lot better if we weren't going into a strong wind. Also lost my brakes on the last downhill ;-) I'm a mtbiker, I just could resist. Its straight and fairly flat all the way from hospital bend to boys so the change is nice. Makes it a little harder but more fun.
  24. a small change can make a difference. I was getting knee pain, and feeling my hamstring when riding my road bike. It was only in my right leg. I noticed when I cycled that my right foot was turned out slightly more than the left. Checked my shoes and found the cleat had shifted slightly from the original setup. Moved it back into place (about 2mm's) and haven't had a problem since. On the mtb however, when I'm going downhill standing out the saddle I tend to always put my right leg forward and by doing that strain my ITB.
  25. This is REALLY screwed up!!! My top two indexes are now 2 road races in which I did terrible. First One: Burger Fietstour. I was 4 months pregnant so took it really easy and road the 2nd half by myself. Second One: Knysna Road 2007: I did the mtb the day before and injured my knee. on the way back I wasn't even able to cycle at 20km's per hour. Previously these were 2 of my worst. This years Knysna MTB is wrong: Winning time of 1 minute? 2009/07/04Pick n Pay/Weekend Argus/Rotary Knysna MTB Challenge5000:01:0003:28:3014.390100.1168 With all of that however I'm only 2 groups down from what I was before having a baby. All my rides used for the seeding were in 2007. Not that I really care as I no longer ride on the road so don't care about bunches.
