  1. Spill the beans gosh darnit
  2. Thanks for the suggestions guys 👍don't know why I couldnt think of it by myself, but turned up a little insert, and it has worked a treat, my nephew is stoked we didnt have to dump the frame
  3. A LOT of people dont seem to understand this, not taking a jab at anyone here, but I also have the means to make a lot of things myself, and people never understand why I just buy things instead, just because you can make something yourself, doesnt mean it is worthwhile doing so
  4. 140mm fork - 65,2° 120mm fork - 66,1° 100mm fork - 67° Rigid fork - 68°
  5. NO! Not unless the bike is a Merida, or at the very least manufactured by Merida, and make sure you dont have those grippy DHF/DHR/Dissector/Assegai tyres, they make the bike so heavy and they handle TERRIBLY, make sure you are on Ikons, they are the BEST tyres EVER produced.....
  6. Are Specialized frames not made by Merida? Can you see the bias yet????
  7. To be fair, take that "Test and review" with a pinch of salt, he is extremely biased towards more XC type bikes and tyres etc, never really has anything good to say about anything other than Merida and Maxxis Ikons
  8. Report the seller, he is a scammer, report him and get his account taken down. @Matt
  9. Ya, I would also put a 140mm on, I have a similar riding style to you 🤣 the Slade just looks like it has a much better seated climbing position, I am glad youcan be "my" guinea pig, and inform me of your findings before I spend any money 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  10. Believe me, your bike is high up on the list 🤣
  11. With that slack STA I wonder how it will climb 🤔 Should be quite a machine when pointed down the hill
  12. Thanks, I am considering getting a hardtail, and my two options at the moment are a Slade or a Tigre, so very interested to see what you have to say.
  13. Please let us know how this frame rides compared to the Slade
  14. In other words, no, he doesnt have one....
  15. What about a Knolly Tyaughton frame? They are steel frames and on sale at the moment, with worldwide shipping available
  16. @Hairy, this one is for you....
  17. Riding the Monster Truck at Modderfontien.
  18. Ssssshhhhhhhhh🤫 I just tell myself that it has taken years to get into the shape (round) I am in, and cost many MANY a ZAR, so I cant go and lose it all now 🤣
  19. A little reward for a small ride 🤤🤤
  20. Cool, thanks, I have seen one floating in the classifieds recently, and it is on the shortlist
  21. What HT is this? I am half and half looking for a nice HT frame
  22. And what frameset is that?🤔
  23. I guess it is true that cant really mix your own colours, but having looked at just a handful of the colours at the place PYGA, uses for their powders, prismtic powders I think, there are SO MANY colours I really doubt a person would ever struggle to find a very close match
  24. When you say "mix colours" do you mean like fades? I know a Powder coating place in Boksburg that did a really nice fade job on a BMX frame many years ago, pretty sure they could/can still do it
  25. Think I may try make an insert for it, it may weaken the hanger drastically since there is very little meat to work with, but it is worth a shot I guess, seeing as it is pretty much useless now anyway
