    No I share the same reasoning / excuse as the other guys that have posted in the other black friday thread from a certain store. Ordered 2 things from them separately. One before BF, one just after, and still no luck. Waiting patiently.

    Hey guys. I am following this thread since I'm also keen on upgrading to SLX soon. When you talk about the hub making a noise, is this the part that connects the wheel to the cassette? IE the "free hub" / "microspline" etc?

    Ugh, I hate it. Ha ha ha. I've wanted it for a while now, but ordering it locally ends up being so expensive that it's just not worth it. Something crazy like R70k delivered.

    I really do want them. But they're the last on the list at the moment. Would prefer the groupset first and then perhaps a dropper post.

    Thanks for the help guys. I ended up on an extended search on youtube and found this guy that explains it in a nice detail that I can understand. Will try those Trek shops! Thanks guys. Just a quick question, if I plan on changing the rims in the future to lets say the Lyne wheels, woudl I benefit from the Bontrager hub, or would I need to re-purchase a hub for those rims when I'm ready to get them?

    Some might recall that I had issues with fading brakes and my lever basically touching my bar when I was trying to stop. So this is me just bringing this bike up to scratch and giving it a fix up so I can enjoy it for some time.

    Sorry gents, I don't mean to be cryptic. The bike is a Pyga OneTen. It's been loaned to me for the foreseeable future. The parts that are currently on it are from a Titan I believe. Not sure which one. As I'm really enjoying the bike, I wanted to take advantage of some Black Friday specials. I bought a new brake set and discs. I got a handle bar combo from Lyne. And now I'm looking at the groupset as the one on CWC is well priced at R4399 (Shimano SLX).

    Yeah, I'm a serial noob with mechanics and DIY in general. Inherited the bike, so just finding my way around it slowly. I checked, and they're Bontranger hubs. I unfortunately don't have the cassette removal tool so I can't check out the actual hub body. The cassette seems like a standard Shimano 2x something.

    How do I find that out? Take the wheel off and pull it out, or is it easily readable while the wheel is still on?

    Hey guys, I need some help. I'm looking at getting the SLX Groupset to upgrade my ride. What I've noticed is that all the groupsets say Micro Spline Not Included. I've searched the forum and I've seen a few options that the guys posted, and I'm none the wiser. What exactly do I need to buy so that I can get the groupset fitted?     2 of the 3 orders have arrived. One of the two with a small issue as they sent the wrong item. The third order is delayed due to a lot of black friday orders so the store is struggling to manage. Hopefully they'll send out this week.

    I get you. I also use Polar Flow / Beat like the one guy above mentioned then that uploads to Strava. Everything seems legit and above board with my rides. I'm not a crazy rider by any means but I like to see my fitness levels improve as much as the next guy. So I love having that data available.

    I didn't even know this was an issue? I had always used my phone for gps with my chest strap. Then that activity uploaded to strava and everything seemed legit? How big of a problem was this?
