  1. will deep section also have a worthwhile effect for heavier riders i.e. 90kg + and what makes etc are strong enough for the 90-100kg heavyweights?
  2. No all I need is BMC Fan and Johan Brits to join us and we will be a formidable force - at the start anyway
  3. Of course there is also a nice little hill finish as well that catches a few out. Are you doing the Remax or Rollercoaster or both hagar?
  4. I will also be doing the Remax on Sat (with my son in X group - both on BMC's - one silver, one red) and Rollercoaster on Sunday. Going to be a "heavy" weekend. Rookie101 make sure you are in your easiest gear at the start as you immediately climb up the hill. Saw a few people do the "pedal breakdance" last year amidst much laughter and embarrassment after the fall
  5. I was waiting for your response fatcyclist. Must admit though, I was a bit dissapointed with the content it. I was hoping that you would be a bit more sarcastic and "vicious"
  6. Took my bike there for a service this week. Excellent work, value and great people.
  7. Cool, thx. will try again tomorrow
  8. FanD the only problem riding with a group on weekdays is the specific program issue. I would find it difficult to do specific interval training in a group. (probably find that I would only be moving a bit faster than their slowest on the intervals though, but I'm sticking to my illusion ) racman2008-01-23 03:29:46
  9. The problem is NOT that it is uncomfortable on my butt. I seem to have picked up a niggling groin problem and when I tried the SE Flite it was the first time I completed a ride of any distance without pain. Yesterday put on the Fizik and after 10km felt the pain (actually quite comfortable on the butt part!). Quite a big price difference so was wanting the Fizik to work as was cheaper. It appears the cut-out and soft gel of the Flite may be alleviating the problem while the saddle shape of the Fizik is highlighting the problem. Any ideas will also be helpful.
  10. Cool, Thx. So maybe the way that I did it meant that the fron was too high which vcaused the discomfort. The Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow was way more comfortable on a 70km ride on sunday than the Arione was yesterday on a 20km.
  11. I have ridden once before the DC but will probably join soon. Getting the news mails from EK. Are you joining FanD? (Darn, just remembered! I need to collect and pay you for something. Sorry - will "pm" later)
  12. Ok, I put it across the length of the saddle from nose to heel and was quite uncomfortable in the front. Explain Kona Fan please where I must use the spirit level - must be "dof" wednesday for me? Are you saying that the level must not cover the whole saddle ? racman2008-01-23 01:18:39
  13. Thx. I was going to ensure that the saddle height was identical i.e. taken from the top of the saddle to BB so may have to lower/lift seatpost. Regarding the length of saddle it looks like the Fizzik is actally longer at the back and the rail position looks to be in the same position if I check against my curent saddle. Busy comparing my saddle; Selle San Marco SKN PRO vs Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow and Fiziik Arione. Rode S/I Flite Gel Flow on weekend and really enjoyed - very comfortable!!! Trying Fizzik this afternoon.
  14. Trying out a Fiziik Arione wingflex saddle tonight and wanted to know if their are any tips on set-up that I must do. If not will set-up at same dist from Bars as other saddle and ensure absolutely level. Is that it or is there something else I need to do (was sure I read on the hub that the set-up of the Fizziik is more critical than other saddles)
  15. What team ????
  16. No problem - still applies. Will try and get shipped up in next few days and will pm you shipping cost details.
  17. Ok, Here are pics of the seatpost and saddle. Seatpost is Chorus but needs a bit of buffing:
  18. Give me a shout if you need it. I will also check as I think I have also got a 90's campy chorus seatpost as well. Will try and post a pic tonight. If you like and are prepared to pay for shipping then no charge for both (will be glad to help)!!!
  19. I have a Selle Itallia Turbomatic 2 saddle that you can use (probably too moden though as late 90's). Let me know
  20. Have used Time, Sidi (both top of range) and now Specialized Carbon. For me the Specialized is the first shoe that I never got "Hot Feet" with!! Brilliant shoes !!!!!!
  21. There we go - my work is done now. I will move on and solve the next case !!!!
  22. I think someone is multiple voting on the Pinarello
  23. BMC FAN, listen carefully to Racman now. 1) Sell your groupset on the hub at a good price 2) Order a new 2008 Campy Centaur groupset from Totalcycling.com with the new Carbon Cranks (I ordered mine last year with Carbon Chorus Cranks) 3) By the wife a bunch of roses 4) Have a nice romantic candle light dinner at home and then..... 5) Bring the bike in from the car after having the new Campy groupset installed and she will not notice anything !!!! Problem solved - no charge. Just glad to help !! Always remember the rule though: The bigger the upgrade, the fewer the candles!!!!racman2008-01-14 08:20:13
