  9. Proposed White Line solution !!!!
  10. Actually you have a BEEEEG point there FanD. I remember the race info stating that the Old Helshoogte section was only for cyclists for the race, or did I read incorrectly. If so, then the whole thread is a non-starter as it is actually the motorists and organisers that are at fault as the cyclists thought that the whole road was allocated to them !!!!

  14. I probably will but I just wish that some NEW insights would be presented, like a PRO's point of view. I appreciate you "devils advocate" approach to getting the debate going (even though your stance has fluctuated somewhat over the last 20+ pages in order to keep the temperature up). So, in a nutshell, here are my views: 1) The Elites & Pro's need to be able to participate in "no holds barred" RACING and therefore it is the responsibility of the Race Organisers to arrange appropriate safety precautions & measure etc 2) The FUNRIDERS ( the problem is where do these begin?) need to stick to the white line rule or be DQ'd. So the PRO's will having Police "front men" and rolling road closures while fun riders will have marshalls acting as "policemen" . I don't know if we are the only country in the world where the PRo's and Funriders ride together in the same race, route and day. Maybe the answer is to provide a greater time separation between the groups. I do also think that there is a certain amount of "shirking" of responsibilty by PPA and to now place the photographers on the Hub in a difficult position is also not correct. They (PPA) should be doing the policing as well. After all - they do charge for the race/Funride!! And I to could go on and on and on and ...........racman2007-12-04 06:15:10
  15. Ok, this is getting like the Texas Sally thread now: BORING !!!!!
  16. Pantani, you make out like you are the champion of the transgressors and just "being honest" when all you are is one of the sheep in the bunch who is too scared to take individual responsibility and do the right thing. I find it amazing that you advocate the right to do whatever, yet you want strict rule enforcement of all before you comply. Somewhat contradictory I think. (But you still da style man!!!) But on this - you be da "No style man"
  17. about 10k, mainly XC races

  20. Zoon - where are the prices on the 2008 models listed?
  21. avoiding the question is a good enough answer for me But then again I don't really consider safety and doping "pedantic" issues. Anyway, different strokes .....
