  1. Hey ewep - what are you getting now that you "trashed" the Colnago? (Glad to hear you survived and are OK !)
  2. Thx guys 1) I don't have a custom steel but I do use my Colnago Tecnos (steel circa 1996) with 8spd Record every so often, so that sort of fills the nostalgic/romantic/comfort etc role 2) Not ready yet otherwise Fanie's Cervelo would have been taken already, depending on size of course 3) I can't believe so few voted fo the Felt - I though it was a pretty good buy 4) I always knew that there were a lot of people who feel that they are "SPECIAL" and they do also look like a great buy 5) The Silverback and Solis are substantially cheaper than 15k but don't seem to have the "street cred" yet (does it really matter?) Anyway will see what the outcome is in a few more days. All suggestions welcome.
  3. So I am also thinking about possibly changing frames - Please give reasons after voting (rather than just saying - " BECOME SPECIAL" or similair) Or should I keep the BMC SL01 and get better wheels? In a frame I am looking for the best combo of weight vs stiffness vs handling vs cosmetic apeal (Yeh, yeh, I know, I know - so is everyone else as well) Are there any other carbon frames under 15k that I left out?racman2008-03-17 00:28:07
  4. Hey hagar, I hope no "Nigerians" are going to use Slowpokes bank account info you posted for a little withdrawal therapy
  5. I think it's related to the risks and safety of training on the road.
  6. As MichaelH said - give it a few weeks !!!!
  7. I wonder what the RACING would be like without all the pathetic "funriders". Who subsidizes who? While I understand the emotive nature of this thread I cannot believe the absolute arrogance displayed by some hubbers (I wonder if I am even worthy to post in such company!!!!). Of course being a "Funrider" who only rides for fun and NEVER races or has the slightest clue what RACING even feels like, I don't actually know if I am even allowed to post on ths thread. I agree, from reading the comments, that the comms actions were dangerous, but also agree that the Elites should have been DQ'ed (this is such an old debate, surely they should have learned by now) I have an even better suggestion. Why don't all the obviousely pathetic league and A-Z "funriders" boycott the races and see how successfull the Elite races are. Ok A-Zee, Vets, sub vets and league Altogether now, say with me We're not worthy, We're not worthy !!!! (By the way, thankfully not all Elites act like prima donna's!!! Mmmm I wonder if this is what Rookie101 was going on about) And here I was slaving away on the IDT and on the road, moving from Z upwards as fast as possible, eating rabbit food to shed the extra kilos, bonking on the "FUNRIDES" just for fun etc, etc with my sights fixed on trying to get to RACE in leagues in 2009 (yep, still a long way but I also have a long way to go). WHAT WAS I THINKING !!!!!! That's not RACING - only Elites race - the rest do it for fun only!!! (sorry to pop your bubble WH, BMC FAN, Colonel etc etc - your're not racing according to some !!! Why would I wan't to ride leagues then?) ????!!!!!!!racman2008-02-17 15:19:53

  18. Ok lets see.... Product Review: Saturday 26 Jan Saturday 26 Jan is a great day, in my opinion, to have after Friday 25 Jan. I find it far less confusing than having it after 27 Jan. Although I have experienced 27 Jan on numerous occasions before, it will be my first experience of Saturday 26 Jan that I can specifically remember. Speaking to friends and colleagues who have experienced Saturday 26 Jan before, I can verify that it is highly recommended. Sadly many people do not have the privelage of experiencing Saturday 27 Jan. This mostly occurs as a result of successfully playing that ancient sport commonly known as "kicking the bucket". Occassionally winners of this sporting contest are excluded from the results until an official ceremony is held to confirm identity and legitimacy. This ceremony is commonly called "Post Mortem"!! As a whole though it would appear that it is therefore preferred to experience Saturday 26 Jan than to miss it and play "kick the bucket" !!!!racman2008-01-24 07:27:23

  24. We don't need to gang up or brag - we already know we are special !!!! (might not be so fast, but definately Special!!) Ratty, I wouldn't ride at all if I was pregnant. (But then again, there's little chance of that happening so I don't have any excuses either!! )racman2008-01-24 06:13:42
