  1. Looks like one of the Jackson 5!
  2. Specialized Stumpjumper ?
  3. Thx nellie - it's not an Orbea but then again I still have some change
  4. that will be between me and the guy that built me a bike like that. damn, now where did I put the other frame I bought
  5. Hey all, you are welcome to open a cracked frame thread BuTT (sorry couldn't resist) this thread is about the celebration of a decent bike build at an excellent price using the resourcefulness of the hub etc and not about slagging off other manufacturers ( although I may be tempted if it was a Campy vs ShiamaNO war brewing - no down boy, down) If I could have purchased a carbon Raleigh or Cervelo and built it at this price I would have been just as happy and would also have given as much credit. (open to offers of a Carbon Cervelo or Raleigh for me though)racman2007-10-11 04:40:24
  6. The NZ rugby Union anounced today the recruiting of several key players to boost the All Black Team for the next world cup!!
  7. Granted, but as said elsewhere - at the price I have no complaints. Actualy looked at Raleigh's but a) wanted to build up according to specific wish list and b) couldn't get a frame to match this price and condition etc.
  8. I will not compromise the hub ethics by taking a picture with a couch as she is not a hubber. (also, she was watching and I normally have to sneak the couch pictures when she is not looking)
  9. pity it's only about the bike and not me as well !!
  10. Guarantee = You get a replacement. Service = How long will you wait. Raleigh guarantee's all 450+ bike models we do and you will not wait longer than 5 working days till its at your dealer unless we need to import in which case we airfreight. The point I am trying to make Brandon is that I bought the frame used for R3k (with seatpost & stem) and at the price, condition etc is fantastic. The question of guarantee etc is a mute point and irrelevent to this instance. At the price I paid and after very close inspection and discussions with the importer, I feel that the risk is entirely acceptable. So for R3k I have a frame that is beautiful, Carbon, and my wife is ecstatic about - an absolute bargain in my book and a winner! racman2007-10-11 04:00:20
  11. Maybe he's giving the convict a pardon!
  12. The photo must have been taken immediately after the head butt!!!
  13. I offered him a ride as a Luxury Team mate at TBW. Ooops - sorry, just remembered it was on ProCycling Manager 2007 not for real !!
  14. Does look a bit like the Raleigh in some ways - NOT !!!! (also spelled slighlty differently. RALEIGH - CIOCC, although the "I" is similair)
  15. more again
  16. No - it doesn't have any cracks !!! (Remembered a joke about Raleighs and Cervelo's. Can't exactly remember the punch line but it "cracks" me up every time )
  17. more
  18. So the wife's bike is now complete. Cost of R11k in total using slightly used and some new parts. I think it is stunning but then I am a bit biased (i am allowed to be - I had to pay for it!!). Put Compact crank on at "hubbers' advice So if you see a large (that's width not height) guy on a silver and black BMC SL01, and a slim, young, handsome guy (son) on a red and black BMC SSX riding with a lovely petit lady (wife of course!) on a stunning red and black CIOCC - that's us!!!! (it could also mean you are riding a bit slow and need to get a move on !!) racman2007-10-11 02:47:49

  20. That's one serious Hi-Fi you got there. Hope your neighbours don't mind but they shouldn't as you only use 1100 watts for 5 sec
