With today's shaped saddles with cut-outs etc, it takes quite a bit of fine tuning to get the correct "level" on the saddle. Years ago it was simply a matter of using a spirit level. I normally start with a spirit level in the center and have it tilted slightly downwards at first and then tweak it during the ride.

This may have been covered before, but I didn't see it and I don't want to hijack the "What Wheels" thread, so my question is - what is the optimal pressure to pump clinchers to. I always pump to the maximum recommended on the side wall (Gp4000 is 120psi) due to being a heavier rider. Are their real benefits to this as opposed to 100psi or less? I always thought it would improve puncture resistance and RR although at the expense of comfort and (possibly) handling?

I honestly think it is a weight issue with the Thoork but, if the replacement works well, someone may be able to pick up an almost new (about 500km only) Selle Italia Thoork Gel Flow at a good price. Watch this space - or probably another, maybe, possibly, I think !
